Tyrone-Villan (U8304936) posted May 18, 2008 Every year it seems Antrim might make some progress but year after year they fail to do so. Their league campaign summed them up, full of promise to begin with but ultimately failing to follow their good form through. Hopefully Cavan can do us a favour and get a result against Armagh but I doubt it

IrishAddick (U8489583) posted May 19, 2008 I didn't see the match, as I was in Croker and didnt watch highlights, but "easily dispatch" seems like a bit of an overstatement, when there was only 4 or 5 points between Cavan and "a wasteful Antrim side". I know it can seem like a mauling if you're at it, but when Galway stuffed Roscommon, ad Meath did something similar on Carlow the same day, it seems a bit strong. I would describe Kildare as wasteful yesterday, but Wicklow didn't easily dispatch them... by 5 points

bluefrenchflair (U11134673) posted May 19, 2008 Its hard to be an antrim fan, there's never any joy in it just heart-breaking defeats ie tommy murphy cup final last year and bitter disappointment with unfulfilled potential ie league campaign this year and now Cavan in the championship. However this is nothing new and we dont expect anything more, maybe herein lies the problem. I find it hard to find fault with what Jody Gormley has done for the county in recent years - it must be so frustrating for him wathcing these talented young men throw it away whenever things are looking good. Have to say though that young Seanie Johnston is a future star for Cavan - some lovely scores yesterday from tight angles. Id like to see Cavan give Armagh a good game next time round Comment on this article
