To all the doubters Sidebottom has proved what a great bowler he really is by having 10.1 overs, only conceading 5 runs and taking 4 wickets including the big wickets of Oram and Vettori. He has really excelled himself, what a great bowler.

Im with grey in this debate, i think hes shown his class in Sri Lanka and its not his fault Prior can't catch. You say you make your own luck but to be fair, i dont think I've ever seen a wicket keeper so bad who dropped so many catches. He got named Wisden Cricketer of the Year for a reason...

Anyone looking behind the figures might realise he was our best bowler yesterday.

-----------------

rubbish. i watched 3/4 of yesterday's play and he certainly wasn't our best bowler - broad was, by a distance.

dont get me wrong, i'm a huge Sidey fan, but to say he was our best bowler yesterday is just plain wrong.

i think ive had enough now, it's time that all test grounds have floodlights as bad light is just an unnecesary waste of playing time. Todays play was ruined by it and so will many more until the ICC and ECB see sense.

J4K - I was unaware that the leave was part of the tactical shot selecion for trying to score quickly. That's interesting.

Sidebottom has been top class. When he hasnt by picked up wickets he has never gone for more than 3 and a bit. Since he hasbeen back he has l
always done a job!

a left armer add varity to any side, sidebottom has been head and shoulders are best bowler from his very first test back in the side.he show more guts and passion then the others, maybe flintoff is the only other with such a big heart.we miss simon jones badly, if he can bowl like he did in the ashes,he and flintoff were the two key bowlers, but is vaughan worth his place as a batter, sadly no.....
