Man City Clear Out !!!

Premier League Manchester City
comment on the article

Just read an article in the Daily Star, That owner Thaksin Shinawatra has confirmed that the entire first team squad is up for sale!

Any predictions on who is going to go where or who's joining?

I would say:
* Micah Richards is 99% going to Arsenal.
* Johnson would go to Liverpool for around £8 mil.
* Dunne to Newcastle, Keegan has expressed a big interest.
* Elano would go to blackburn or villa.
* Would say Hart and Schemichael would go to Arsenal and M.Utd.

Predictions please ......

This sorry club is is in a worse condition than Newcastle a few weeks ago. I feel embarrassed for the excellent City supporters. That Shinawatra guy appears to be off his trolley whilst all around him are totally bewildered. One consolation lads, his pills are bound to kick in eventually and the garbage press will look for another lame duck to bully. A Geordie in peace.

And er... why on earth did Sven not just dine with the looney-tune, but actually sit beside him.

True or False, it's things like this that make me glad to have the by far best chairman in the league in Steve Gibson.

Thaksin should go, because he does not understand that it takes a long time to build a team. Not only do you need big bucks to attract players, but you need to convince players that they are going to play. Neither Liverpool nor Chelsea have achieved their full potential because there is a reservoir of dissatisfied players in both teams who are not totally committed to the cause. We most certainly don't need another team in the premiership which has that attitude to players - nor are there many players of quality that will put up with being managed like that.

Thaksin obviously wants to buy success - it isn't going to happen for him. But in his attempt he will destroy a developing team, which could make progress in the next few years. The 8-1 defeat is a symptom of the instability he is creating.

Go home and if you have got money to spend, spend it on the flooded victims in your neighbouring country of Burma.

Elano to Blackburn!!!!!!!!!

That is the most stupid thing i have ever heard. Blackburn are the most brutal team in the prem and elano can't tackle to save his life. CITY TIL I DIE

This is the biggest load of tosh i have heard in ages, Richards to arsenal i doubt that very much, he has got a contract with city till 2013 and if he does go man u look more likely to con thaskin to give him up, but i think Alex and all you man u fans just want him because he is one of the best defenders in the prem, saying that he is injured and still recovering. CITY TILL I DIE

There is going to be no clear out, Thaksin has denied the rumours and that sort of speculation came out of The Sun i think, so i think we would all be fools to believe that.

I honestly feel also that none of our bright young prospects want to leave, despite the unstable situation at the club currently.

Sven is obviously very popular with the players and with the fans like myself, but this is a situation out of our hands.

You would have to say that if it were a choice between the chairman and the manager, the manager has to go reluctantly. Why? Well because the chairman has written off the club's debt and provided us with the transfer funds needed to sign players like Corluka, Petrov and Elano, who have all been instrumental in making sure we finished in the top 10 this season. It was great to see a guy like Wardle, a City fan at the helm of the club, but he simply did not have enough money to take the club forward! Thaksin is essential if we are to crack the top 4 and be up there with the big boys. I mean teams like Everton will never permanently crack the top 4 without spending seriously big money!

Having said all that it would be sad to see Sven leave, he has a great scouting team who can attract the best young talent from around the world. Also there is no denying he is a fantastic manager and a lure for top players who want to work for him. Reluctantly though i don't think you can have both of these guys, and if i had to choose between keeping the manager or the chairman, i would keep the chairman.

Open to interpretation though!
