RIP tommy. i met him once on a ferry, seemed like a really nice sound man. another celtic legend gone but never forgotten. RIP tommmy

I think as a mark of respect the SPL should cancel this weekends fixture especially the Rangers V Motherwell game. Many Rangers staff starting from ALLY and Walter were very friendly with TB. We have a precedent with Phil O'Donnel passing away and TB was a big ambassador for club and country and should be shown as much respect.
He was a friend to many bluenoses.

The same thought occured to me, but I think that because it's end of season, it won't be entertained.

No-one knew cancelling because of Phil's death would have a knock-on effect.

I can appreciate how many friends TB had at Ibrox, but I can't see it.

My condolences to the Burns family at this sad time. I still can't get over the shock of his death, Tommy Burns was the Celtic manager when i first started following the club as a wee boy, and it's just so tragic that someone that young has been taken away from us so soon. The picture that best sum's him up is when he was diving on top of the players after the penalty shoot out vs Spartak, there's not one bad word that can be said against the man. R.I.P Tommy Burns, gone but never forgotten.

I wrote this poem for my wee brother who tragically died this year, I think its quite apt for Tommy also...
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I'm in Heavens Parkhead in the executive seat.
I'm here with Wee Jinky and the boss Jock Stein
This IS PARADISE like you've never seen.

The beer runs free,the banter is great,
Fitba games are playing and the bars are open late;
Irish songs are chanting: "The Fields of Athenry"
"Oh baby let the Free Birds Fly"!

Everyone is wearing the hoops of green and white
only the elite get in here theres no blue in sight:P
The HUDDLE is our greeting, smiles are our reply;

R.I.P. Tommy Burns,
a true great, a Celtic man through and through, and a man respected and admired by all true football fans. Scotland is better place for having had him, many people could learn from the way he conducted himself on and off the park. My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
