Let's be honest, the 6-0 thing is history.

1) We've drawn twice with Wycombe since.
2) The side that adapted best to extraordinary conditions on the day won

Looking forward to Saturday, if County play to their peak they will win. If they don't Wycombe have a chance.

Lambert says what he says, so what, why get woundup, it'll be more egg on his face when we win.

Sometimes it's best to bite your lip and smirk in the knowledge of the extra satisfaction. Come out with remarks about death etc, just puts us on his level, if not lower.

Gamesmanship, nothing more. I don't think either of them are that good at it, Gannon saying that the league games didn't matter only to accuse Wycombe of being scared in the last match, Lambert saying he's accustomed to big, passionate crowds when he's the only person at Wycombe who is.

Firstly, IMO there is a difference between scared and fearful and the fearful Jimbo possibly meant was regarding being a little more cautious rather than being scared and quaking in boots.

Secondly, the quote (or misquote):

"We can forget about league form now........ We beat Wycombe 6-0 here and they were so fearful of us"

This was put in a different order to what was said as Jimbo actually said about the 6-0 first and then said league form doesn't matter. It was twisted to make the comment contentious!!!

Just goes to prove that you shouldn't believe everything you read and it is the journo's who are creating the atmosphere.
