Message for non-city fans....

Championship Bristol City
comment on the article

Thank you all.
I have been absolutely overawed by the sheer number and diversity of well-wishers on this board from the supporters of other clubs. I read some of them yesterday before the game and I have to say i felt pretty emotional.

I simply don't have time to post my thanks on all of them so I'll do it here.

Fans from Bristol Rovers, Cardiff, West Ham, Yeovil, WBA, Man Utd, Liverpool, Hull, Watford, Both Sheffield clubs, Sunderland, Arsenal, Stoke....... the list goes on.

I also want to thank the Eagles fans who have been gracious in defeat last night and have wished us well. I hope you had a safe, if sad, journey back.

This is a fantastic journey we find ourselves on and we seem to have collected some friends along the way.

Thank you very, very much. I am honoured and extremely proud.

Would love to see "Brizzle" in the Prem!

(Despite my username) I live in Chippenham Wilts so am looking forward to the Boro's trip to the SW. It'll make a change for me not to have to set off for a match at dawn!

It'll be just my luck tho that it'll be a midweek evening game and I'll be working away ... but fingers crossed!

Well done Bristol!

UTB!

However much I hate to say it, Well Done for last night and good luck in the final! Enjoy your day to Wembley (like we did)... although your trip is slightly more prestigious!

Its great for the city that one of our teams is getting some true exposure and hopefully there will be plenty more to come! (from us too!)

Soak It Up!!

.....from a gashead coming in peace.

We got him in the January transfer window from a Turkish club for around £500,000. A bargain buy he or our keeper is our two best players.

Nickhend444... with respect, its a bit too early to say Nick Carle is our second best player. He has been a valuable member of the squad since arriving, went off form a little and has come back hungrier. 2nd best?... sorry mate not just yet. I would put McIndoe ahead of him by a canter and several more for services rendered.

His rating is certainly rising and he, like Trundle, will shine the higher the football ladder we go.

I'm a chelsea fan,who moved to Bristol from london just over 4 years ago because of great job opportunity.I am still a regular at Stamford Bridge but on the odd occasion I have popped down to Ashton Gate to see City play.
What has impressed me about the club, is it's fan's support, it really is 1st class, even when they were in the 1st division they could make alot of noise! It's a club with great potential, with a brilliant coach playing good football, Bristol is a great city and the club would grace the top leauge. Good luck City I really hope you make it!

As a Baggies fan I must say that Bristol City have impressed me hugely this season - they REALLY WANTED TO WIN which I guess stems from the manager(?). Then again it would be fantastic for Hull to get there for the first time ever so I'll be sitting on the fence for this one and hoping that whichever club misses out takes encouragement from this season and does not implode with disappointment. Albion have showed you CAN come back from a play-off final defeat.
