Original Article 14/05/08:
Right, it is inevitable that with over 3 months to go before the start of the season and even longer before the window slams shut we will be linked with dozens and dozens of players...

I've decided rather that flood the board, I'd start one definitive thread which we can all constantly update with gossip/news we hear about different players Bruce is looking to sign.

I will edit this regularly to keep this fresh at the top of the list and update the date in the title when I do so. Please add any transfer gossip/news/links to stories on other sites on this thread.

Agreed...

Heskey can go for the right money.

Need to keep Valencia, Taylor & Camara.

Simple.

I would be more than happy if the squad stays the same as it is right now with the addition of Hugo and maybe the departure of Kapo. That would be my ideal transfer window.

I have heard romours that Scharner is being looked at by Sunderland. If I am honest he was woeful at the beginning of the season but it seems of late he is becoming the scharner we all loved a couple of seasons ago. His victory dance after the Bolton game was v funny. We cannot afford to lose players like him, we have a very small squad and a few injuries could see us right in the relegation mix again.

It has all gone quiet on the Palacios front which is good news, I still love him!

Henri Happy at Wigan!

Henrri Camara has played down repors of a move to stoke and says he is happy at Wigan!

Good news, he seems to pop up with crucial goals when he gets the chance and we play better football with him in the side, rather than with Heskey.

Well with reports that Boyd is to travel to St Andrews Latter to rubber stamp his £3.8M move from Rangers. We are reported to be prepared to lissen to offers for Jerome and Bolton and Wigan are linked with a £4M battle for his services.

Jerome just cant score enough for us, maybe Wigans set up could suit him more.

Afternoon banjo, are you still in trouble with your misses after that Ridgewell incident? Hope not mate!

As for Jerome, what do you make of him honestly? I have seen him play 4 times, twice against us, once against Reading on TV the other week and against wolves again on TV. Each time he has looks lacking in quality. He seems unaware and often makes the wrong decision. As I said I have only seen him play live twice so my judgement is pretty useless.

Yeah thats all sorted now mateok

It has cost them potential business, Blues agents will refuse to let their players take cars to her company!

But they would only make same money doing a say clutch on a BMW M5 from them as they would from say you!

On top of that they would have to drop cars back to training ground or players homes.

Anyway i did make some stuff up that caused the offence, which was that his kid was wearing a Villa top, when i was never told that! And he was upset as well you could understand worry for his son if some kids/blues fans took that wrong. I mean he could be a Villa fan so what whos to blame for that Villa are the most popular club around here because they are sucsesfull and do well.

Anyway i said sorry and the middle people (mrs company) have suffered the bigest loss!

But now many blues fans pick me up on admiting to lying (i never had to winkeye) And so my reputaion is damged and no one beleaves a word i say!

Like its all load of bull about we will be signing Boyd and Bowyererm

And Quashie would be staying for more than the initial 1 monthok

Oh wellok

As far as Jerome he has pace runs and causes defence problems.

But he lacks composure/ability to read game and poor first touch!

He does work hard, very hard.

It could be lack of confidence, and just our team setup/tactics that hold him back!

He needs a good run of games to bring out the best, but then its a risk incase he does not improve by playing him consistantly upfront. Then you may have got 3-5 goals less than playing another Striker.

I dont think he will ever be the player we thought/saw from Cardiff days while he stays here.

But maybe he can go on and become better elsewhere.....

Like Andy Johnson did when he left us, and countless others inc Heskey etcok

So who actually read your thread, Ridgewell? I wouldn't have thought it would have been noticed. Some people take things too seriously don't they?

You are still well liked over here so be a wigan fan. We were the same colours and half our team used to play for Brum! laugh

We have just signed, well subject to a work permit, a new striker so if we were to sign Jerome I imagine it would be if Heskey or Camara were to leave.

laugh

I think some staff at Blues or people connected to the agents or even a freind of a freind. Some certain bluenoses who happen to think Wigan will get relegated this seasondoh

Think everything i said was lies and everything i ever say now is most likey.

Well if i said i saw Frank Lampard in a gaybar or caught in a Ronaldo situation (the fat one winkeye )if there was no truth in it would the players and his club even bat a eyelidok

Well we are trying to sign Boyd for £4M and may be looking to except a offer for Jerome of reported £5M.

While Wigan may sell Heskey or risk lossing him for nothing in the summer and £4M is the price qouted!

Thing is, is Boyd a 30 goal+ a season SPL player (most goals against low SPL sides). or a player who has a bad return of goals per game for us, and really has woefull composure and first touch. Or a Heskey who gained interest from Villa, Tottenham now Liverpool and Chelsea after his England performances last year really all worth £4M

So its looks as though you are forced to sell Heskey for £4M, to then have to replace and take risk on Jerome for £4M when that £4M could buy us Boyd who once joins will get the nod way ahead of Jerome and other Bruce signings.

Onuoha (5-way tug of war):

Scharner (to Bolton? - Yeah right!!!):

Kilbane (to Hull?):

Droopy D in for Heskey:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1109023/Bigger-better-Spurs-boss-Redknapp-Heskey-Jones-striker-wishlist.html?ITO=1490

Right, I think Onuoha would be a good signing for us - not sure if he'd be happy coming with the competition for CB places BUT we certainly need cover in this area.

Does the Ginger Chimp not know like the rest of us do of the £6m buy-out clause in the contract Scharner signed only last August? It was reported everywhere when he resigned for us...

Kilbane to Hull - can see this happening myself although as already stated would prefer to sell Koumas rather than Killer.

I think Heskey is going nowhere till the summer but then what do I know... Rumour has it that Liverpool & Villa are interested or not, depending on who you listen to. Personally I think Emile would like to go back to Anfield but it's down to whether they want him or not...

Madjid Bougherra:

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11682_4764901,00.html

All I remember of him is James McFadden chipping the ball over him and planting the ball in the bottom corner whilst he (McFadden) was at Everton...
