I'll look into it for you Anj - seeing as I really can't be bothered to work on such a fine day.

The current champ is some Belarusian named Sergey Gulyakevich who won the title of Leva Kirokosyan by a landslide UD. I've never heard of him but he's won 24 out of 25 (12 KOs) and his only loss has come courtesy of our very own Alex Arthur by way of head-butt.

Doesn't sound like much of a banger to me - you're probably thinking of old Leva himself who dismantled Johanneson in 4.

your right the euro super feather strap has been avoided by about 5 fighters i think its the property of Sergey Gulyakevich. who gave alex arthur a tough night mitchell passed up this opportunity to figh in the states. As for a mandatory i'd agree Stephen Foster jr would be great

Well there we go! Thanks MIXtheZyder, it wouldn't make sense for Cook and Mitchell to be stepping on each other's toes so he may as well head to the States for some PR.

Mitchell had a tough one against Johansen, so in terms of that I think he has paid his dues if he wants a soft touch in the states to look good for the yanks. At least, in Johansen, Mitchell has got someone with some ambition who was a real danger at the weight under his belt.

Long term he has to be looking toward Alex Arthur I would think. Guyliachovich is an average fighter, who didn't give Alex Arthur too many problems. Timing is everything and I'm not so sure now is the right time for Kevin to face the Euro champ.

I say get this one out the way. Take a few months off to revitalise, come back in a ten rounder against a decent Euro level opponent, then look for the belt maybe.
