Holloway Stays So We Have To Move On

League One Leicester City
comment on the article

So Milan has decided to stick with Holloway - whatever the outcome of the meeting the fans would have been split down the middle anyway. I think we will see now by who is retained and who is released/transfer listed who the players are that Holloway feels let him down in the run in. He has a chance to redeem himself now but personally I think if were not in the top four after 10 games then Milan will sack him. I'm personally of the opinion that Holloway should have gone but I will back him and the players come August and I will be renewing my season ticket.

Holloway has not done a good job and has let down a lot of people because he obviously has ability as he proved at Plymouth. My biggest frustration has been listening to his continual diatribe of sound bites which appeared targeted at enhancing his own personal media image.

I am pleased he is staying because he owes the Leicester fans. I dont want to hear from him, I dont want his stupid comments and quotes. I only want him to focus on getting Leicester back to the Championship. If he does this he will be successful.

Come on the Foxes!

I recon this is all calculated by Milan. What is the point in getting rid of Ollie now when the season has just ended and Ollie has 2.5 years on his contract to run, also what good manager would come and manage LCFC in this lower league?

Milan may as well give Ollie a couple of months or so into the new season to prove himself and at least see if LCFC are in a promotion spot, if they are mid table or lower then get rid of Ollie, by then it will have eaten into his current contract time and potential pay off.

The most important thing of challenging for promotion is the close season

The whole season depends on what players are brought in, what players are retained, which ones are let go
How the players are coached etc...

If the manager is the wrong one, then the whole season is a waste of time...

Come on Milan, sort it out...
Lets make a fresh start with a winning mentality

Plymouth fan in peace ....

Saxonfox ... You say that Holloway obviously has the ability because he proved that at Plymouth ! Firstly he inherited a well established team who were already doing well in the Championship, and when he left us we were in 7th place, and not 4th as he keeps on stating ! Looking back I just think he was good at talking the talk, and not walking the walk as he unfortunately proved at Leicester. Unless he gives up his partime job as a comical clown, he will be of no use to any team as a manager. Best Wishes for next season, and whoever you end up with as a manager hope to see you back in the Championship soon !

I hear Hollowman is looking to sign a promising young Italian striker Giacomo Viagara hoping he can help get the team up. [Maybe a shirt sponsorship idea here--"we can get you up..."]

If Argyle had such a well established team when Ollie arrived,it was only thanks to the timely invervention of Tony Pulis who stopped us sliding back down into division 1.From what I could see,Ian Holloway worked his socks off at Plymouth.Maybe if more of the so called fans managed to turn up to support their team week in,week out,Ollie might have thought it worth his while to stay.As it was he accepted Milan Mandrerics offer as he thought that he was as ambitious as he was.

Ok, Holloway took QPR up to the Championship, which wasnt exactly hard. Its like Calderwood taking forrest up - yeah well done but dont expect too much congratulation because it was exactly waht was expected. He failed time after time to take a brilliant bristol rovers side up, and he inherited an alredy solid championship team from Sturrock at Plymouth. Then he gets Rovers relegated. So please tell me why he is rated as such a great manager? Because he has 'passion'? Sorry but that dont get u anywhere..apart from relegated. You should be thankful Mandaric has more sense than most of you loveable buffons who, incredibly, ave managed to convince yourself that Holloway is anythin other than a complete oaf. Have you read his BBC column? What a load of rubbish, If he was in charge of a team I supported I'd probably cry. lots.

Holloway appeals to the lowest common denominator 'oh hes as simple minded and 'working class no nonsense salt of the earth' as me, so he must be a good bloke and an honest manager'. No, it means he probably would do no better as team manager than Dobber, Dazza, Chob, Oggy or whatever other neanderthal terrace yob that Holoway so desperately tries to appeal to.
