Half time: 1-0

Pretty even stuff in a very heated game. Wycombe very physical, especially when Stockport had the lion's share for about 10 minutes just before Wycombe scored.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a red card in the second half. Nor would I be surprised to see a County equaliser.

Both teams very tense, of course, and little to choose between them.

Roll on the second half. Any other County fans around?

On the subject of arrogance - spotted in the Wycombe club shop yesterday... "Wycombe Wanderers - Wembley 2008" T-Shirts!!

Arrogant pricks!!

It'll be so funny if (when hopefully) you don't need them!!

Certainly not the most intelligent move making those t shirts! Though nothing surprises me with our marketing team.

Its amazing the different versions of the same game people see. For me there were spells where both teams dominated.

I think the stats say it all with 50% possession each 9 shots (us) vs 8 for County, 3 corners vs 4 corners.

So its quite surprising when supporters from both teams come on here and say there was only one team in it! Think some were watching through rose tinted glasses.

The ref set his stall out v early with the County booking and if he was being consistent, Woodman should have had a second yellow for doing a similar thing.

Oakes challenge was clumsy as seeing the player week in week out he doesnt dirty, just cr*p at tackling.

Dickinson was a rock for you guys, must admit i havent seen a Wycombe team kick a player as much for years but he also gives out his fair share. I can see why you were desperate for him to play. I thought for us Holt was MOM.

Looking forward to the second leg and hope its entertaining.

I've been watching Dickinson all season and he's not the sort of player to dive.

Wycome's tactics looked like they involved trying to rattle a relatively young County team who were not intimidated and stood up to it all match. To be quite honest they could have picked up more cards than they did.

Perhaps Paul Lambert wanted to take out a couple of our best men for the Edgely Park leg. Didn't happen anyway. I'm feeling confident in County's promotion this season. They've been playing the best football I've seen for years.

I was watching the game in the pub and if I'm going to be honest I was worried when Wycombe got the ball forward as Owen and McNulty don't seem to play well together.

One thing that annoied me was the fact Raynes was sat by the touchline and he didn't roll off the pitch (ref was an idiot to book him) but I can't believe the bench just told him to sit there!
I was very suprised but grateful that Taylor wasn't playing as he would of been sent off in that match no doubt about that!

Also, the fans saying that Dicko dives... yes ok I'll admit he made a meal of a few and I wasn't impressed but the battering he took yesturday I don't blame him for it, also when Dicko was accussed of fouling the Wycombe player in the area and the ref gave a free kick, shouldn't of been, but the covering defender heard the whistle go but still carried on and took away his shin.

I'd of taken that result at any stage in the game and before it. I think it'll either be 0-0 or decided by 1 goal.

P.S. Any news on Raynes?

whats this rubbish about our fans being quiet?

from the stockport end you could not here a thing from wycombe...

untill they scored, then they chanted for about ten mins then sat back down and carried on knittin or doin the cross word

the county support was awesome...yea fair enough it dipped a little as we went behind...but thats just nerves...and we were soon right behind the lads

seen as you had us out numbered 6-1 your support was very poor imo

Sheff Hatter, Raynes didnt get booked for that incident. The ref was going to as he thought he was off the pitch but the 4th official stopped him as he saw he was on the pitch.

However, i dont think play should have stopped he was inches from the touchline and could have rolled off.

chairboy23 what colour is the sky in your world?
Not sure where this "edgerley" place is you keep referring to. I can only assume you mean the famous edgeley park, home to a REAL football team. Anyhow, i hope you and your school pals enjoy the trip at least till kick off time.

I don't think any team particularly dominated. Wycombe didn't deserve to win, certainly. A draw was probably a fair result.
Dicko was badly manhandled (and kicked) throughout the game. He does go down easily, but I suspect Wycombe knew he was doubtful for the game and tried to end it early. Not dirty tactics, just very sensible. They rightly got booked when it was a bookable offence.

On Sky, you heard as much noise from County fans as Wycombe.

Anyway, off to the back garden to practice my 25-yard volleys. WHOOOOOSH ( now that was a hoof, Vish!)
