The perfect end to an upside down season

What can you say ?

The players were all behind Sven.

Sven was his usual urbane self at the press conference.

He thought both sides would play open and attractive football.

I have been all out all day with my lad at basketball and I find we have lost 8 - 1 !

No offence to Boro but you wouldn't have the down as a free scoring team.

In reality the players showed they don't give a monkeys about the manager and they suffer from a severe lack of professionalism.

I am sure that Sven will have no explanation and will sail off to te land of compensation without a look back.

The players should be ashamed of themselves and offer to refund the ticket costs to all the people who went today.

maybe this was a form of protest by the manchester city players but this is no way going to do him any favours at all after doing so much this season to enhance his reputation which for the time he had to assemble the squad together is what i think he has done.

This performance was a message to the owner.

Sven in, Toxin out.

Suggest City fans read the following article and let the club know how they feel.

Just shows you how important Richard Dunne and Micah Richards are to the team. They fell apart without them

im a boro fan but i think that man city should stick with sven, give him time not the best season for man city but give him time. with another couple of years and more money from the board he will get city into europe im sure. may i also say that i think that the man city fans are a discrace though for the way that they behaved at the riverside yesterday. at the end of the match most of them were deliberately causing trouble. but hey at least there were some responsible supporters amongst them.

I was there and it wasn't lack of effort from the players it was the fact that the players, just like the fans and management, have spent the last couple of weeks wondering what's going on and not thinking about the fixture's we're playing. Add to that losing Dunne, not having Richards or Onuoha, and everything 'Boro hit flying in (Downing would never finish like that for England) and it was a mauling. Also, Sun Jihai starting meant City down to 10 men before we kicked off.

The only thing more shocking was the policing.

United for the double: 6 easy points this season, cheers. MCFC - the only football team to come from Manchester.

Great win for Boro, City were unlucky to lose this one.
