How can you compare "The Great Schumi" to "Lady Hamilton"
-------------------------------
A driver cannot be compared to 'Great' when they bad the sport look back. Monoco, 2 years ago, he spins his car so Alonso could not complete his final pole posistion lap, 'Great'

2002, A1 Ring, team commands make Barrichello hold up and let Schmi past, even though he was out driven, he chose to past him.

1997, intentionally drives into Villeneuve to try and win the title, kicked in result for it.

1999 Silverstone was just Karma for things in the past and present for him :D

Hamilton on the other hand brings true quality to the sport.

All drivers in F1 have skill and if they had the right car they would be first like Massa and Hamilton.

However I think that Massa was an influential figure in this race as he steamed ahead of Hamilton and Raikonnen in the final laps.

Massa for Driver of the Race.

I totally agree with the comments on ITV's bias. The same thing made me feel ill during the rugby World Cup, as a Welshman their bias towards England truly was stomach churning, and it made me root against England, just like it's making me root against Hamilton now.

Hamilton has done nothing wrong, short of being inexperienced and making a few mistakes. In the same way, England have done nothing wrong, short of having a playing style that doesn't agree with ours (the Welsh being open and risky, the English being more slightly slower, tighter, more controlled). ITV's verbal masturbation over the homeboys' brilliance often makes me want to hurl, and it's for that reason that I'm ecstatic about the move to BBC... but I have a horrible feeling nothing is going to change regarding Hamilton.

They are always going to dedicate half of the buildup to him, focus on him for 60% of the race and talk about him and "his chances" nonstop throughout. And that makes me support Button and Webber far more.

There is so much hypocrisy in the words above. The same ITV rooted very passionately for Eddie Irvine and David Coulthard (one Irish the other Scottish). ITV or BBC and the average well adjusted person will root for another British man when they compete with foriegners... But you would rather support Mark Webber an Australian? Its your choice anyway.

The driver of the race was without doubt Massa, followed by Hamilton and Kovalainen. Kovalainen was the most entertaining out there, but he and Raikkonen messed up their race in the first corner and had to pay for that for the rest of the race. Kovalainen with a puncture and Raikkonen with a damaged front wing. So Kovalainen was the most unfortunate of the 2.

But Massa was invincible in this race, Hamilton would not have been able to compete with him even if he had been on a 2 stop strategy. Hamilton made all the right choices in Turkey with regards to tyre-choice. He chose the harder compound, which everybody agreed was the rigt choice after the race. If Hamilton had been on a 2-stopper he would have had to drive much further on the softer compound on which he lost time to Massa. Furthermore he would not have been able to pass Massa if his car hadn`t been so light. He would not have been able to stick with Massa in the first stint if he hadn`t been so light on fuel.

McLaren and Hamilton did everything right this time, but they still couldn`t beat Massa and Ferrari.

I hate lewis hamilton. The way ITV makes him this semi goddes its revolting. He is just a snobby little kid with no respect for truly experienced drivers such as Massa, Kimi, or Alonso. FIA should come to their senses and kick that little girl out of this sport, making the sport look bad.

yeah, kick out all drivers who haven't gone straight into F1 after racing peddle power go-karts for 30 years. there's no place for people with any money at all in F1. only people who's parents are coal miners or bin men should be allowed in, and only if they dont work more than one shift a day. dam how would the teams be able to afford to pay them after they spends 10's of millions every year on other things. and everyone knows that young people have way too fast reactions. they are also far to healthy, only smokers and binge drinkers should be allowed in. special consideration should be given to drug addicts and drug dealers. there will no longer be any media coverage because it gives ignoramuses a chance to hate people for no reason, and all races will be run behind closed doors. only competitors will know the results and they will be sown to secrecy.

have i just hogged all the good ideas? or does anyone else have any? oh yeah i'll shut up for a while, cos every is allowed to make stoopid remarks, but i annoy people when i do it tongue in cheek hahaha winkeye

Why dosen't everyone hate Jenson Button? The British press idolised him for years and yet he's officially the 10th least successful driver in the history of the sport. There's a good reason why the press like Lewis, he's friendly, articulate, British and he almost won the WDC in his first year of F1. Can't you see that he's genuinely a brilliant driver and a good man? The fact he regularly battered his world champion team-mate in 07 dosen't mean he has 'no respect' for him, it just means he's better! And another thing, Lewis and McLaren are the underdogs, and we brits love to support those, just look at our football team, rugby team, cricket team etc, etc.

i don't think i've seen one single reasonable reason for the LH hater's stance. they all say they hate him for some reason that is not unique to him and expose their hypocrisy by not naming the others they hate . its reasonable to assume the obvious in these circumstances.
