northlondon01 (U9090133) posted May 10, 2008 When people talked about the money ruining football, I didn't think it would be retarded owners who think they can turn mid table teams (or worse ) into top four teams in a year or two, so they sack the manager after six months!

Daveofthewood (U7013379) posted May 10, 2008 I dont get what all the furore is over this, Keegans only stating the facts. Times have changed since he was last at the reigns, unless Ashely's money can bring players like Torres, Ronaldo, Gerrard, Adebayor, Droga etc then they havent got a hope, the best Newcastle can hope for is 5th, and even thats going to be tough with the way Tottenham and Everton are progressing.

garcialovesme (U899332) posted May 13, 2008 Why would Ashley get rid of KK now? He turned the team from an unmotivated and confused bunch of headless chickens, running around (some not) for 90 minutes, in to a semi-cohesive team willing to work and most importantly, play football. Thinking about it, Keegan has done well in all his managerial roles. Perhaps England didn't work out so well but he acheived the same as all other England managers over the years.

Jjonnyboy (U6293612) posted May 14, 2008 I am a big supporter off keegan's but I think the he has got it wrong on the 'other issue' in other words Michael Owen. If he leaves in the summer, even for £3m I say so be it. Mort is playing a cunning game. If they offer him a pay cut he could run his contract down but he also need to play well for someone to buy him and to be in contention for England.
