I am totally and utterly fed up with

Premier League Tottenham Hotspur

all these articles about Berbatov. Yes I know he is a brilliant player, but lets just move on. If he goes then we will still remain THFC, nothing will change.

We have won European Trophies without him, FA Cups without him, even titles (albeit a while back) without him.

We have had players like Greaves, Mackay, Blanchflower, Smith, Jennings, Hoddle, Chivers, Gascoigne, Ardilles, Lineker etc, etc. they have all come and gone, the club has moved on. We have still won trophies.

My way of thinking is if he goes he goes, end of.

We will still continue as a club, lets just get on with next season, new players will come and they will become our new heroes. Players that have left will quickly be forgotten, that is just the way it is with football.

bentley is so over-rated, how he's worth that much i dont know. Or maybe his true colours will come out when he signs for a bigger club

Would like to see Berba back in the Champions League, a talent like his deserves to be there. He hasn't fulfilled his ambitions at Spurs, as they have struggled in his time there. In someone like Ramos you guys have a manager who can do well and take you up the table. Problem is that your ambition is to break into the top four, and by losing players like Berba will only make that task harder to obtain.

I have been reading that Bentley might go to Spurs. Why? Currently Rovers are just as strong, if not stronger, than the Spurs. Again you're talking about another player who wants to be playing CL football now, and a over-priced move to Spurs won't necessarily guarantee that.

I don't think you can call Ronaldo a striker.

The past few weeks have proved that he is much more effective starting in a wide position and cutting in.

I'm not saying we have a forward line of headless chickens just that we shouldn't class berba as a slow player.

Personally I agree with sosax, I think he is better than Rooney and Tevez and would improve us.

Hang we're on about progressing AND selling players?!

Lets clear the rubbish first. Then buy a few class players (not over priced players).

If he wants to go then we get as much as we can to replace him. We can't build a team on 1 player.

KEANO is always going to link well he's playing near his best and has scored just as many as Berb this season!!!!

It doesn't really matter how world class a sticker is we haven't got a keeper next year yet!!

Nothing good ever came of a club trying to hold a player who wants to go. As long as it's for a fair price, let him go. Just, please, oh please, can we this time (i.e. for the first time ever) not waste a cash windfall like that by overpaying on mediocre to good (but not mega-expense-justifying good) players for the season to come?

All I can say is thank goodness for Robbie Keane. Without him as well I really wouldn't be able to see where the goals would come from. Darren Bent is garbage, selling Defoe was a mistake.

I agree with the top article 3 euro trophies to 2. No player is bigger than the club and if he wants to go, lets get as much as we can and strengthen the team elsewhere. On his day he is fantastic, but Ive seen every match this season and alot of the time Berbatov hasn't been interested. Robbie Keane busts a gut every single match. I Know who I would rather have. Also we need to learn the mistakes of the past in terms of buying utter rubbish. Darren Bent is a complete waste of money. We only bought him to stop West Ham getting him. he is not in the same class as Defoe but his arrival pushed Defoe down the pecking order and eventually out of the club. I keep reading we are gonna sell Huddlestone? We should be looking to keep him and improve him, he could be top draw if he ups his work rate. Huttons been a good signing, Woody has slotted in well, I think we need another experienced Central Defender to play alongside Woody. Dawson is prone to the odd mistake, Ledley can't play more than 20 a season. We have Bale to come back. Steed has had a decent season but the final ball from him and Lennon has to improve, lennon has gone backwards the last 2 seasons. I would ship out robbo, chimbonda,Kaboul and Zokora and bring in a quality holding midfielder to free up Jenas. Carrick would be nice(we have replaced him) but we wont get him. I would like to see a top quality poacher added and a somebody who is gonna beef up our midfield because we have been bullied out of matches too many times. jenas still flatters to decieve and blows hot and cold. I would like somebody such as Kevin Nolan. Scott Carson is available and i think robbo has to go.i would be interested to see who other spurs fans think we should for this summer and also who should go.

Lets face some facts here.We are not a big club anymore. The top 4 in the EPL get far more money and opportunity and when we sold Carrick it demonstrated that the CLub isnt able to keep ambitious players. Berber is one of the top strikers in the world and he will be sold hopefully for £25 -30 million.Any of the Top 4 could afford him and he will score lots and lots of goals. The Board has not been able to create the right culture. We have good players and in some cases great players but when you get caught trying to recruit the incumbent managers replacement then deny it despite evidence to the contrary it effects your clubs morale.

We need to accept that Spurs will not win the EPL or any major competition anytime soon.

Top of the bottom half of the EPL is not good enough.ONEDAY will have to clean house pronto and start afresh. We are in the UEFA next year but once we come up against the Champions League failures in the later rounds we will get knocked out again.

Why are we unable to do better..well having been a Spurs supporter all my life (I attended my first Spurs home game when I was 14 days old) the current Spurs fans expect miracles and turn against the team when things go bad.Booing your own players and handing out the stick they hand out effects morale and players dont perform as well as they should. The fans are the main reason Spurs dont do the business as they expect to win every match and get upset when the team under-performs.

Get a reality check.Anywhere above the bottom three in the EPL is good and anywhere in the top half better and the top 4 impossible. Spurs are just one of 10 clubs who will be spending bundles on players again and as such we are not going to get any better.
