I am totally and utterly fed up withPremier League Tottenham Hotspur by U3601378 08 May 2008 all these articles about Berbatov. Yes I know he is a brilliant player, but lets just move on. If he goes then we will still remain THFC, nothing will change. Latest 10 commentsRead members' comments or add your own

Katulata (U8310534) posted May 9, 2008 Would like to see Berba back in the Champions League, a talent like his deserves to be there. He hasn't fulfilled his ambitions at Spurs, as they have struggled in his time there. In someone like Ramos you guys have a manager who can do well and take you up the table. Problem is that your ambition is to break into the top four, and by losing players like Berba will only make that task harder to obtain.

respect_my_authority (U5421794) posted May 9, 2008 Nothing good ever came of a club trying to hold a player who wants to go. As long as it's for a fair price, let him go. Just, please, oh please, can we this time (i.e. for the first time ever) not waste a cash windfall like that by overpaying on mediocre to good (but not mega-expense-justifying good) players for the season to come?

DPanna (U4000762) posted May 10, 2008 All I can say is thank goodness for Robbie Keane. Without him as well I really wouldn't be able to see where the goals would come from. Darren Bent is garbage, selling Defoe was a mistake.

Jazzyrobspur (U11933191) posted May 12, 2008 I agree with the top article 3 euro trophies to 2. No player is bigger than the club and if he wants to go, lets get as much as we can and strengthen the team elsewhere. On his day he is fantastic, but Ive seen every match this season and alot of the time Berbatov hasn't been interested. Robbie Keane busts a gut every single match. I Know who I would rather have. Also we need to learn the mistakes of the past in terms of buying utter rubbish. Darren Bent is a complete waste of money. We only bought him to stop West Ham getting him. he is not in the same class as Defoe but his arrival pushed Defoe down the pecking order and eventually out of the club. I keep reading we are gonna sell Huddlestone? We should be looking to keep him and improve him, he could be top draw if he ups his work rate. Huttons been a good signing, Woody has slotted in well, I think we need another experienced Central Defender to play alongside Woody. Dawson is prone to the odd mistake, Ledley can't play more than 20 a season. We have Bale to come back. Steed has had a decent season but the final ball from him and Lennon has to improve, lennon has gone backwards the last 2 seasons. I would ship out robbo, chimbonda,Kaboul and Zokora and bring in a quality holding midfielder to free up Jenas. Carrick would be nice(we have replaced him) but we wont get him. I would like to see a top quality poacher added and a somebody who is gonna beef up our midfield because we have been bullied out of matches too many times. jenas still flatters to decieve and blows hot and cold. I would like somebody such as Kevin Nolan. Scott Carson is available and i think robbo has to go.i would be interested to see who other spurs fans think we should for this summer and also who should go.

Pearlsaswinger (U5525278) posted May 14, 2008 Lets face some facts here.We are not a big club anymore. The top 4 in the EPL get far more money and opportunity and when we sold Carrick it demonstrated that the CLub isnt able to keep ambitious players. Berber is one of the top strikers in the world and he will be sold hopefully for £25 -30 million.Any of the Top 4 could afford him and he will score lots and lots of goals. The Board has not been able to create the right culture. We have good players and in some cases great players but when you get caught trying to recruit the incumbent managers replacement then deny it despite evidence to the contrary it effects your clubs morale.

UNITED_LEGENDS (U10716734) posted Jul 19, 2008 Get a reality check.Anywhere above the bottom three in the EPL is good and anywhere in the top half better and the top 4 impossible. Spurs are just one of 10 clubs who will be spending bundles on players again and as such we are not going to get any better. Comment on this article |
