It is not a disgrace, it is Football, why do people make such knee jerk reactions. It has been muted for months and has happened, thank you Luigi but onwards and upwards. These guys want success and will get there too, the reactions get more like Chelsea everyday, who have campaigned to get rid of a man who has got them to the Champions League final and a final day Premier decider......Pathetic

This is a worrying glimpse into the future of how the club will be run. I can't put my finger on what LDC did so badly that meritted the sack after less than 1 season in charge? LDC should have been kept on. Our club has been in a mess for a long time and is in need of some stability (as well as the money). Success for QPR will not happen in 1 season when so many seasons of mismanagement have got us relegated to the old Div 3 and nearly seen us go bust several times. Why didn't he get more of a chance to show what he could do next season. I shuddered when I read in the metro this am that Allardyce and McClaren were in the frame to replace him. Allardyce will destroy our club, with some 6'4" donkey up front chasing long balls humped down the park by a load of overpriced, over the hill defenders

It is a shame as Dicanio done us proud this season but I think we do need a stronger manager to take us forward and I agree Paul Ince would be ideal for the position and deserves the chance. I'd also like to see 2 or 3 Premiership players that maybe have a few years left in them (such as Harry Kewill - despite his current fitness) as this will keep the current squad on their toes, lift the team and bring in even more valued experience.
Either way - I think we will be a major threat in the Championship next season.
Come on the supa-hoops!

He did a good job for us i think the language barrier has been a slight problem. But i think he was brought in on a short term roll.Lets hope we get a well known manager next not allardyce how about mourineo.

Could easily be Zidane like the rumours state. If so then they'll be able to attract other big names and they'll get to the Premiership that way

Spot on! a big name like Zidan at QPR can only be a good thing and help attract decent players. As for Zidan not knowing anything about management, well..he must have learned something after listening to some of the best managers in the world for more than 20 odd years.

C'mon you rrrrrrrrrrr's

Regardless of the language barrier, LDC clearly has had an impact for QPR. I was at the Hawthorns to see the Baggies win 5-1 against John Gregory's outfit, but things definitely looked up (as well as the Rangers' bank balance) with the subsequent cash injection and the arrival of Di Canio. At the end of the day, languages can easily be taught, but knowledge of the game / good management techniques seldom can. I'd say give LDC another 12 months - surely a Play-Off spot is achievable with a good start next season?

I don't know, looking in from the outside an established manager would seem wise, but adding Zidane to the coaching staff or as number 2 even would not seem a bad move at all.

I agree with most that Di Canio did a very good job in the short term he was with us. However, I would not be surprised if he had some kind of parting "gift" from the management! If we are to push for promotion next season, then let's start afresh and with an established manager. All sorts of names have been touted, but personally I'd go for someone like Alladyce. Play offs should be achievable then promotion. Briatori seems to have a plan - lets hope he's not too impatient.

Well, LDC has managed to bring back pride ot Queens Park Rangers Football Club, and for that reason I say 'grazie Gigi'. But I do believe that the owners are not stupid and as we are aware they have major plans for our football club, for the future. I don't personally think that it was by 'mutual consent', I think there was a parting gift for Gigi from Flavio and Bernie. The names I would suggest are:

Paul Ince
Martin Allen
ZZ, but maybe as assistant coach to learn ropes and language better??

Names I would avoid:
Sam Allardyce
Iain Dowie
Kevin Keegan

We will challenge for promotion next year, let's look forward to it!
