Leroy was just average!... pls people shd stop the talk about M Desaily...not all good/ successful players make good coaches! he could be given any of amateur teams...under 17 , 21, 23etc as a training ground but not the black stars!if we wan results we shd be prepared spend some more on a good coach! period!

blacktheory (U11896447) posted May 10, 2008 I think its high time LeRoy left, he achieved nothing with the Black Stars. During the ACN the Black Stars were a not really a the best team there. I mean the struggled to win even the simplest games. Ever since LeRoy took charge the team has gone from bad to worse and i think the decision by GFA is a good one seeing that crucial games are coming up were performance and results will be vital.

funnygamefootball (U5289993) posted May 10, 2008 I find it hard to understand why any self-respecting coach will take on a coaching job in Africa. The various FA's are hopelessly run and are corrupt; they want instant success without any long-term plans. Just like their governments, which keep changing like the wind changes direction, these associations have no idea what planning for the future is, hence the state of African football.

LORDhero (U11109776) posted May 10, 2008 LeRoy, legacy? He killed Ghana football. I was looking to see a great Ghananian team at the nations cup but I saw a mediocre performance just like the one put up by their Nigerian brothers. The frenchman left bitter taste in the mouths of those who expected Ghana to lift the cup. I was not surprised when the GFA announced they were going to give him a new contract. Again they were behaving like their cousins the Nigerians. May be now that the Nigerians have purged their house of foreign coaches, especially the one called Berti Goat - (sorry vogts) or whatever, the Ghananian would learn to look inward for a speedy recovery of the black stars.
