-WeWonItFiveTimes- (U11920824) posted May 11, 2008 If there was a player I would compare him to, I'd say it would be Carlos Spencer. He's quick like him and unafraid to run at opponents, as well as being skilled with the ball in hand. In fact, I know Leon McDonald used to kick for NZ so I never saw Spencer do it, but Cipriani's place and out of hand kicking is looking really good.

lankypanky (U8583923) posted May 12, 2008 in reply to AtomicPom, if you'd watched Dougie (woodman) for years at Kingholm you'll know hes 10 times the prop sheridan ever will be. he was a tenacious scrummager and devastating in the loose. anyone who saw his interception try against Sale a good 7 odd years ago will testify to that!

shakerbluesman (U9307112) posted May 13, 2008 Danny Capriani is very good, but one international does not make him player of any season. Some of his club performances have been literally all over the place, some good some pretty aweful.Sure his is a major talent but player of the year no way. It's just got to be Olle Barkley who's been on top form all season which to me is crazy that he's not an automatic choice for England.Young player for me and many others has got to be Danny Care of Quins, what a season by a huge England star of the future if not by next season.Coach well Steve Meehan of Bath gets it for me which is hard as I'm a Gloucester fan and Dean Ryan has had another great year but Meehan has really turned things around there and certain players leaving actually benefited the team.So there are my choices. Don't let the press dictate but look at those who've performed at top level week in and week out for their clubs. Also what about a very special award this year to a man who has graced the game.has been the ultimate sportsman a rugby legend and a credit to the game worldwide,I'm talking of Jason Robinson. An award for this so loved and admired of players.
