I think Sweden will get through to the knock out stages. They have enough quality to beat Russia and Greece but are too weak in defence to stand much of a chance against the top nations.

Given the shortage of quality in the full back positions, what do people think about having Ljungberg and Alexandersson (or even Sebastian Larsson) as wing backs in a 3-5-2 formation?

well first i wanted Germany to win because for top players, skill etc... Anyway i found out that Rami Shaban is in the squad for sweden (goalkeeper- half egyptian and half swedish). So im kinda supporting sweden now because im egyptian (logic),well maybe as my second choice.... lol winkeye

If greece don't win it... I want sweden to win it.

Swedes and Greeks have always been good friends especially during the summer.

blue-eyedAgnetha "a typcial English chick is stereotyped in Sweden as overweight with an Asbo stuffing herself with fish and chips."

Not far off the truth then eh? (I hope my english girlfriend's not reading this :P)

I lived in Sweden for a couple of years, not sure if the women were that fit, plus they're a little too feminist for me. But, Swedes in general are great people, brilliant country, they have my full support in Euro 2008.

I remember Sweden used to play a really entertaining style of football, but from what I've heard they haven't impressed their fans this year. They should be able to get through to the konock-out stages though.

As an Englishman married to a beautiful Swedish blonde let me confirm that Swedish women are simply the best. I have been sent my Sweden football shirt to wear throughout the Championships and it's sweaty and smelly already. However it will be worth it if they take the cup back home. Come on Sverige!!

Kom igen Sverige. De är det bästa laget i världen på sin dag, speciellt med spelare som Zlatan och stor rolemodels, Freddie och Henrik. Hela vägen!

Sweden is not the best country to win Euro 2008, but l admire their hope to win watches, their ambition to confront the challenges facing them. For sure Swedes might qualify for the second round, but hardly face the final.

So what do you mean by "typical fit Swedish chick"? Talk about stereotype. You will be delighted to know that a typcial English chick is stereotyped in Sweden as overweight with an Asbo stuffing herself with fish and chips.

this is the typcial english chick no sterotyping needed
