Portugal are my dark horses.

Portugal needs to avoid: France ( they haven't won against them since god knows when), Italy (see recent friendly), Greece (see recent friendly) and Germany (2006 third play off). Luckily four of them are in group C/D so the only way to meet them is in the final.
Germany however is lurking in group B and with the home advantage they seem the team to beat.

Of course getting out of 'red' group is more important at the moment then looking at the knock off stage.

Isnt this tournament playing in Aust/Swiss??

I know where Germany lies on the map but surely you have made a mistake with your comments??

There cannot be 3 teams with home advantage pal..

Germany playing in Austria is the closest thing you can get to having an home advantage without actually being on home soil. They speak the same the language, they both are historically linked e.g. Holy Roman Empire and at some point in the 20th century they were under the same rule. :p

Cant agree my friend.

Thats would be like saying England had home advantage if the tournament was in Scotland!!Impossible...

Nah, I have to disagree its not the same because England and Scotland both have different cultural background (Scotlands are Celtic and England are Germanic).

Another good example would be if France plays in Geneva.

Of course everything I'm saying is tongue-in-cheek, so don't take it too seriously. ;)

I have to agree with italyno1fan:
Man, we can outplay Italy for 90 minutes and still end up loosing the match!
France is another team that messes with our nerves, gotta do better.
I do not fear any other team, but sometimes it happens...

I have got 2 be honest but i really fancy Portugal this year pure and simply of the class of Ronaldo and what he has around him in the team. I would love 2 see them do it but it will be very exiting. Other dangerous football will come from the GERmans

German-phobia or what? It is about Portugal. I could not see any of the qualities by journalists about the match yesterday. The same embroidery stuff in front of the goal, Ronaldo playing as if he was alone, a defence lacking cohesion, Carvalho, Pepe and Ricardo were clearly in disagreement.
