backtobasicsCFC (U6681009) posted Jun 16, 2008 well. that was a disappointing tournament. in none of the three games did we look even internationally competent, which is if anything a step backwards from our dire showings at the last two world cups. i think some of the players admitted to using the tournament as a shop window for clubs which backfired obviously as they made fools of themselves and seemed unfit and apathetic and failed to play as a cohesive unit. how we qualified so impressively with the same squad, i have no idea.
