I am 99% sure they will be in the semis! Great team that can again beat anyone of the final 16 without a doubt!

I hope that we 'll be able to do well in EURO 2008. Nobody believes that we can win the trophy again but if we can make the semi finals is going to be for us something really glorius. PARIANSTOKIE.

And that parian is the reason why we could do well. No one rates us, just like 4 years ago. I believe Otto will use that to motivate the team. Picture this. The European championship winning players are being told they won't achieve anything this time round. That will make them want to do it all over again.

I would play them linekers commens from football focus. That would work a treat. Don't remember him winning anything with England!!

I just watched htem against Armenia.. they were pretty bland to be honest.. A few good chances but nothing too threatening. They are very tenacious with their defending, and if the refs won't blow the whistles, then they'll probably cotinue their succes.. but one player got a yellow for a headbutt, even in this match.

I suppose nobody really knows how far Greece will or will not go - but I have noticed how much the English/British media has written them off as a team, very similar to what happened last time.

It is hurting, disrespectful, ungracious. And now, once again they have to achieve - something that nobody else has done twice at Euro level.

Amazing isn't it? Greece has to win again for otherwise what happened in 2004 was just some kind of accident! How one-sided all this is really.

I look forward to the BIG teams flopping, especially Portugal, Spain and even Germany and Italy.

In terms of national football teams at European level, right now no one team is a clear favourite - if Greece can string some good results together they have the same chance as other teams. If not, the achievements of Euro 2004 can't be taken away from them.

rober

Our last two performances in the friendlies have been very poor. The team didn't score for the first time in 15 games (and everyone says we are all about defence). The performance throughout the team was poor and the players seemed tired from their trianing. However, Otto will make sure that won't happen again. he has told them they were bad and will make sure they are ready, I have no doubt about that. Plus, our performances in the friendlies before the last Euro were not good either. We lost to Holland 4-0 that time round, so I wouldn't worry too much.. :)

It's unfair to compare this team to that of Euro 2004. The Greek journalists are those who started it but it is absurd. Greece are playing like we saw since 2005 and they are badly in need of extensive rennovation. South Africa 2010 looks like a dead easy draw, so it's time to get to work with new talent.
