italyno..your luck has run out, now we can forget the Worldcup..the first Dutch goal has shocked even me. but such is lady luck, she always comes back to haunt you. sorry old chap, first half over, 2:0 for the Dutch..but Italy can come back. but Luca Toni and Zambrotto have to watch it, both are yellow carded.

My tv has a huge hole in the middle now haha

I cannot believe it!! I am in shock!! What a shocking result from the azzurri!!!

Fair play to the Dutch, i thought they played as well as they ever have, every thing went for them in the game and also a bit of luck with the first goal. For me i am not concerned about the Dutch now, we see this often with them & at some stage they normally implode!! However i have to say last night the best team won so congratulations to them.

The question now is...
Can the Azzurri recover??

Probably not i fear is the answer. Once the Azzurri are eliminated i think the germans may well go on to win the euros because there are not many teams out there who have the knowledge to stop you. Certainly not France on last nights performance.

To sum up my thoughts...

At least we did not play as bad as the french did so at least there is a bit of hope we may qualify... we are notorious slow starters in tournaments but last night all the ingredients of a winning team was missing...

I wouldn't be "too" worried at this stage. It was one game and the Dutch played so well. Not to mention it was a game that everything went the Dutch way...mainly due to their hard work on/off the ball.

France and Romania were not impressive at all. You need a good result on Friday which should give confidence back to a battered side.

Looking forward to Friday now, it is horrible to lose by such a big defeat in the first match of a tournament. I am in work at the moment and feel like there has been a bereavement in the family!!

Anyway, onwards & upwards for the Azzurri i hope!!

Good luck to the Germans in your next game & hopefully we can still meet in the final...

you see, anything can happen..I think Germany lost its way vs Croatia, but the Croatians played superb footy!

Cant believe this result!!
I thought the germans would be too strong for croatia, but they played great football.
Modric was superb.
Germany to still qualify though, you guys will beat Austria easily!!

The Austria Poland result helps us slightly, now we only need to get a point from the Austria game to make sure we gp through. If we draw with Austria and Poland beat Croatia then both sides will have 4 points but Germany will go through due to the head-to-head record.

and I thought Italy would be too strong for Romania. but 1:1? what on earth is going on ..and meanwhile the Dutch are marsching on, France sure is out of it, even Italy can thumb them now..or will it be the other way around?? who knows.
and Germany can redeem itself..hopefully, but they need to pull their socks up too.
go Germany!!
