Tuesday's gossip colum

comment on the article

Portsmouth will offer Liverpool striker Peter Crouch a £4m annual salary, while the the Anfield club are closing in on Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry.

Arsenal's Alex Hleb wants to leave, Real Madrid have opened talks with Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho and Bolton are ready to spend £8m on St Etienne striker Bafetimbi Gomis.

The summer madness is set to begin. But who do you want to see join your club and who do you want to leave? And have you got any inside information?

Let us know what you think.

You guys realise that Joaquin can't get into a Valencia team that is 5th from bottom of the Spanish Primera, right?
He has really failed to do anything since his 'big club' move from Betis. Also, he's 26, and you'd have to give him atleast one season to see if he adapts. I can see him at Everton but not Liverpool, Babel is definitely better.

villatillidie.. you reckon villa could get arteta for 7.5 million??

ulster_... you reckon you could get ribery for under 20 million? this is the club that paid 31 million for shevchenko, then 2 years of bench warming later you're giving him back to ac milan for a fraction of that. i reckon if you could get ribery at under 40 million you;d be over the moon.

Arsenal

In: Would like to see Gattuso come, but doubt he will
A new Centre Back
Martins and Villa upfront (one or the other) would be nice
but most of all Krancjar wether we sell Hleb or not, he is utter class, makes and scores goals (a Robert Pires midfielder which we are missing)

Out: Eboue, Eboue and Eboue
i wouldnt mind some of the youngsters going out on loan though

hope we dont try for Bentley and am pretty sure we wont as Wenger doesnt like him

unfortunately Wenger has already stated we wont sign a keeper

Kewell?! Isn't your treatment room crowded enough? Why not buy Saha off us too while you're at it!

What do any fellow Man Utd fans think of the possible £8 million signing of Palacios?

Not sure if he is worth that much??

Good Signing or not?

IMO i think he will be a very good utility player and someone who will be a reliable fill in.
