The Irish make it 3 in a row!!!

Peter Lawrie makes it 3 Irish wins in a row on the European Tour with his victory at the Open de Espana. I wonder what odds you could have got on that?

You have to feel for Garrido though, to lead for so long then had to show some great nerve to force a playoff, then some spin at the wrong time in the playoff. Still, it should give him some confidence for the rest of the season.

its is great to see peter win and have another irish winner. Plus young Hoey from belfast won yesterday on the challenge tour which helps his case about getting back on to the main tour.
It is especially great to see new tour winners all the time. It helps the tour become stronger as the experience grows and people begin to belive in themselves.

A pity that Jason Bohn receives 26 ranking points for coming third in Charlotte, two more than Peter Lorre gets for winning in Seville.

This is a scandal.

Who'd've thunk that the two high points-getting Brits this weekend would be Michael Hoey and Greg Owen?

Three Irish wins in a row is nice. But no chance of four. No Irish entries in the Italian Open this weekend, coincidence or too much pressure?
I guess its all guns blazing for Adare manor next weekend. Maybe Rory McIllroy can break his duck and seal his first professional win at home. Regardless, I expect to see a lot of Irish names towards the top of the leaderboard. Irish golf has never been stronger.
