legendaryandyf (U6795792) posted May 4, 2008 Birmingham would make a reasonable championship side...mcleish has learnt a lesson that just because he was scotlands manager he now knows that the english premiership is far superior to scottish football. It isnt his fault though you have it or you dont. As for the combinations of results to work out if we can stay up or not...dont waste your breath...blues need to go down...portsmouth will lose to fulham...blues will lose to blackburn...wigan bolton will win reading will win....

scooby1959 (U11859123) posted May 4, 2008 your rite fulham wanted it more 'blues just made up the numbers' i think blues deserve to go down there a championship side you only have to watch them to see that. sad comments from someone who has supported them all my life. if they do beat blackburn next week (but look at our record against them bogey team or what)and we do stay up then money has to be spent 'but that wont happen' so a repeat of this season. cant comment on alex mcliesh, dont know much about him, if he needs more time then ok. maybe he can bring us back up?

Brimingham ARE NOT a good team or they wouldn't be fighting to stay in a league they can't handle, they are League one material thats where birmingham will be in two seasons... Liverpool made the mistake of putting on there crap players cause they didn't see you as a threat same as arsenal. Your team get lucky too often and now it is comming to a long awaited end. I call birmingham a banana skin team, it don't matter how good the other side is they always slip up and give you a a lucky break.

Ilford82 (U8329863) posted May 4, 2008 Tampin :Here's how Fulham have done it -sensible signings (Stalteri, Hangeland ) who have tightened up our porous defence considerably, Superjimmy and Willy John (Mcbride, that is ) reaching fitness again, the latter developing a good understanding with David Healy, Joe Kamara belatedly finding some form (and so he should , we paid enough for him )Eric Nevland turning into a SuperSub...I could go on but perhaps the bulk of the credit should go to Roy Hodgson, who's turned a dire situation round and got us winning while playing attractive football.Other major factors include getting the monkey off our backs of not having won away since the year dot blah blah blah (I got fed up of hearing THAT statistic ) and the fans who judging by Saturday have been fantastically loyal and vocal in their support.I feel confident now our beloved FFC will stay up by beating Portsmouth next weekend.
