Spurs fan in peace here.

Sven has done a great job for City and has started building a squad. If a new man comes in, half those players will languish in the reserves as players brought in by a new manager would be favoured.

One thing I have noticed from the above comments though is how hung up on beating Man United your fan appear to be. I can fully understand as obviously I despise arsenal and everything about them HOWEVER one important thing is not to make two games against your neighbours the be all and end all of a season.

Maybe that mentality filters through to the players and explains the loss of form and league position, i.e too much focus on those two games rather than the entire season.

Your chairman should never have been allowed anywhere near the country, let alone to buy a football club (on ethical grounds etc). If he gets rid of Sven he only highlighting he is a crazy, power-mad dictator who thinks he can buy and bully his way to football power.

Hope Sven is with you next season.

i dont understand why they would sack him.... city are in danger of being the next newcastle of the league if they keep changing managers!

Sven has a built a decent squad which could probably challenge for a european spot either next season or after.

non related... but i hope schemichael goes to coventry for a perm deal :D

<<Who do we replace him with ?>>

What is this "WE", old boy?

This is the exclusive privilege of a certain Thai politician who came into a crapload of money through a totally legitimate series of events winkeyesmiley and knows more about football than all of us combined! magic

Why, let's not forget the Thai guy only a few months ago sat down to plan "long term" plans with Sven for MAN CITY and signed a contract with the Swede for FIVE YEARS.

I'm a CHELSEA fan and I trust the all-mighty omniscience of football club owners. They are Gods walking among us. We're not worthy to doubt them. blush

<<As a City fan in a family full of United supporters sven is a god seeing we beat them twice this season>>

As if any proof were needed for it, this proves beyond any reasonable doubt that the Thai guy has as much affection for MAN CITY as for his dirty socks.

No true MAN CITY afiicionado (let alone a fan) would ever sack a MAN CITY manager who beats their local rivals twice and, as an added bonus, finishes in the League higher than CITY did the previous years.

I think it's an excellent idea to boycott a few games because as Peter Reid says "the real owners of the club are the supporters". I, for one, will be putting my support on hold while this Thai clown is ploughing his own furrow without even listening to the other members of the board. sadface

If I were Sven...I'd finish the last two games and tell the owner to "see ya." He's done an unbelievable job recruiting for this team and getting them to play an attractive style. If Valencia and Benfica were interested, itd be a shame to leave his project but I'd take it. The owner seems to be keen on bankrupting himself in order to make it into the top four.

I like the Croatia boss, Bilic is it? I've seen him interviewed and he appears immensely knowledgeable and intelligent about the game. Let's face, we don't really want Mourinho and his massive ego (Well, the straight fellas don't anyway), and Phil is a chancer with a gifted International outfit. If Sven goes, and I hope he doesn't, then bring in Slaven.

hi ive been living in thailand now 5 years and thaksin isnt well liked in this country, that is reeling in poverty.
they havnt any social benefits here and have to pay or die when they go into hospital many die thaksin formed a government here to benefit himself not the people.
ruled against europeans setting up a business or owning a business,
but walks into britain and is given political asylum and allowed to buy a business the bloke should practice what he preaches.

he wont budge if his mind is made up, stubborn like all thais, if they dont get there own way.
Im sorry to hear Man city as him he knows nothing about running a football club. thai dont listen to reason.
sven goran erikson as done wonders for man city.
if you shout thaksin down he will be more stubborn, they have to save face. So if someone approaches him in the right manner hands together like prayer, bow, and speak softly dont raise your voice then he may listen.
goodluck whatever the outcome.
let him at least have a fewmore years and then see what happens
