Racingmanta,
The rules for non-league clubs are different - go into administration and you are automatically relegated two divisions. Not only Boston, but Farnborough Town from Conference South as well (there may be others I'm not aware of). Not sure why the rules are different, but there you go. On this basis Leeds should have been in League Two this year, but I'm not going there again, it's been done to death

I know about Luton, Wrexham etc but they were in administration in one season and Leeds did not come out of adminstration until a new season had begun.

holtender4life2 (U8981179) from what i remember i think they were still technically part of league 2 at the time so non-league rules did not apply, anyway, the point is outlined below.

From the decision

"14. Normally Regulation 11 requires that a new Member (i.e. Leeds NewCo) should start the following season in a lower League (here L2). Leeds NewCo wanted to avoid this ‘relegation’ and to ensure Leeds stayed in L1 it was prepared to pay a price to achieve this. The Football League was receptive to the idea and indicated that it might be prepared to exercise its discretion to permit this to happen."

"16. On 31 July 2007 a meeting was held between representatives of the League, Leeds NewCo (Mr Shaun Harvey, Chief Executive and Mr Mark Taylor) and the Administrators of Leeds OldCo to explain the Board’s decision, including the proposed 15 point deduction. Mr Mark Taylor, a Director of the Claimant, enquired whether Leeds NewCo could make written representations to the Football League about the level of points deduction and this was agreed to."

I think that explains part of it.

Juventus were relegated, docked 9 points (originaly 30), stripped of their 2005 and 2006 titles and kicked out of the champions league. Other clubs had points deducted and kicked of of champions league and UEFA cups. AC Milan had a 30 point penalty.

The decision now was right. The decision then was wrong. Sorry but you can't influence the table this late on.

Leeds fans & club did not derserve this penalty but Leeds Newco were docked a further 15 points because Ken Bates wanted to go into Administration and come backout still owning the club. In the process repaying less to creditors and us hard working taxpayers. Other proposals to purchase Leeds these were voted against by front Companies connected to Ken Bates even though they would have repaid more of the debt
The only reason you got the extra 15point deduction was because of these scams.
