StamfordBridgeStillStands (U8289380) posted May 2, 2008 I am sure bravery has a lot of meanings, and i was not saying that what Lampard done compares to people say fighting in Iraq. But i think the term bravery in s slightly different sense can apply to him, and yes people who go to work a few days after a close relative has sided do not get the same treatment and respect nationally. But then we live in a "celebrity" culture, with extensive media coverage of sports, the arts, politics and all manner of other things. Does Madeline Mcann deserve as much media coverage as she is still getting one year on, when children and adults go missing everyday? Her parents are still constantly in the limelight, taking up media coverage which could be used to represent other missing children, a year on and this story is still dominating!

kara1464 (U9031509) posted May 3, 2008 Anyone who's ever lost a mother who they've loved and adored from the core of their being will KNOW what Frank Lampard's been through... it's a truly dreadful experience and it would take a lot of people a lot of effort to do the washing up, let alone train and play and put the effort in to getting through this game. So, all of you who think that Lampard was there just cos he was working, get your heads back on the right way around. Most of you would be zombiefied for a fortnight after losing your mother like he has. This man's got up out of bed, gone to training, focused on the job in hand and helped to come up with the goods.
