Flabpards not brave, he's just working, and this has all been blown out of proportion to everyone elses problems because he's a "celebraty"!!!
The game had it's moments but wasn't a thrill fest! chelsea will find a much harder untied side to break down in Moscow than at Stamford fridge!
We shall attack and win!!
Thanks rtwhufc1983, however my comment was whiped off lol

I'm a Liverpool fan. Chelsea played well, so did Liverpool. But JAR own goal in extra time at Anfield, was in 95th minute, there were 4 minutes added on. Sammi Hyypia trip was a foul, penalty, would have scored. Good luck vs MAN UTD, you'll defo need it!

Arsenal, Manchester United and now Liverpool defeated. OK Avram Shedtalk has been one of your biggest critics, but finally I have to aknowledge Chelsea's achievements during your tenure as manager.

Who knows what our Russian billionaire owner has in mind for next season, but based on results so far Roman should at least offer you another season to proove fluke or the real deal.

PS. Please don't play Malouda in the Champions League Final!

I am sure bravery has a lot of meanings, and i was not saying that what Lampard done compares to people say fighting in Iraq. But i think the term bravery in s slightly different sense can apply to him, and yes people who go to work a few days after a close relative has sided do not get the same treatment and respect nationally. But then we live in a "celebrity" culture, with extensive media coverage of sports, the arts, politics and all manner of other things. Does Madeline Mcann deserve as much media coverage as she is still getting one year on, when children and adults go missing everyday? Her parents are still constantly in the limelight, taking up media coverage which could be used to represent other missing children, a year on and this story is still dominating!
Lampard, being a footballer from one of the biggest and most successful clubs in England at this current time was always going to get a lot of media coverage after his mothers death and especially on his return against Liverpool. And to be quite honest it makes good TV for him to score a penalty and show his emotion.
So just like other people who go through a traumatic time when their parent dies he should be shown some respect, especially for having the balls to take that penalty. I suppose it is up to the individual to define bravery on their own terms but at least show a little respect.

I am really curious about one thing, are all the new managers out to try and win at least one of the trophies that Wenger hasnt laid his hands on or what?

I mean seriously. I havent seen a Carling cup on Wenger's list but both Jose's have won it; Ramos and Mour, and they were both new to England.

Then now we had Benitez win the CL for Liverpool and now Grant wants to take it this time round.

Is this just bad manner's or is it a bold disclosure of just how ambitious the other top 3 managers are?

Anyone who's ever lost a mother who they've loved and adored from the core of their being will KNOW what Frank Lampard's been through... it's a truly dreadful experience and it would take a lot of people a lot of effort to do the washing up, let alone train and play and put the effort in to getting through this game. So, all of you who think that Lampard was there just cos he was working, get your heads back on the right way around. Most of you would be zombiefied for a fortnight after losing your mother like he has. This man's got up out of bed, gone to training, focused on the job in hand and helped to come up with the goods.

I'm not a Chelsea fan, not a Lampard fan... but I've got some admiration for him.

If you understood what it's like to lose your mother, or someone else THAT CLOSE to you, then you wouldn't dismiss what he's done as simply going to work.

Shame on you.
