Bristol Rovers have confirmed they will be playing their home games at Cheltenham Town from the start of next season while the Memorial Stadium is redeveloped.

The Pirates will be heading up the M5 to Whaddon Road for up to two seasons.

Work will commence on demolishing the Memorial Stadium in August for an 18,000-all seater facility which, it has now been estimated, will cost £40 million. The increase is due to a rise in the cost of building materials.Work will commence in August.

The club have also announced a possible earlier return to the Mem when three sides are complete.

At last we can plan for next season. :-)

I can't believe what geeks which rovers fans can be saying why don't you share our ground!
No offence mate but the pitch is set up for decent football only and should be looked after instead of having a rubbish league one encounter between say Rovers and Hartlepool ruining our pitch! I know it would be a luxury for the gas but its like getting asked by your mate to stick his horse in your back garden with your new lawn while he goes to travelling for a year!
And a final note, you gasheads who are sad and geeky enough to find burning our shirt funny!
Just a smokescreen(no pun intended) the way the city see it for Rovers envy of our success!

Reading the sensible and informative responses on another thread my conclusion is that 1teaminbriz is clearly showing an immaturity beyond belief.
This chap simply can`t contribute to serious discussion in an adult manner on any subject where Bristol Rovers are concerned. He really is a stain on the name of his fellow contributors and his constant self congratulations are becoming an embarassment to all. I hope he does the honourable thing and stays away from serious adult discussion on the Rovers board as I believe he has outstayed his welcome.

Sorry Pirateboy1985 let me get this straight. You actually wanted to go to a Bon Jovi concert???? Surely watching the Gas isn't bad enough to make you want to do that?

Well, I have been told trashton is generally full of crap entertainment, so i thought it wise to give it a miss. Funnily enough I dont know much about them....was meant to go with the missus, but rather than go to trashton gate, we picked Iron Maiden at Twickenham instead.
