cantonaa (U9321051) posted May 4, 2008 Did the florid faced faker and Stevie 'Me....going to Chelsea, or anywhere but Liverpool' play today? Thought so. All part of El Grosso's masterful tactical planning, which is to wait until your team is out of everything, then play your best team in a meaningless, end-of-season boring game. What did Mr. Goatee say in his programme notes today? Let me guess, something like 'This season we make good progress...Next season we win Premiership?' Oh yes, haven't we heard that before, many, many, many times?

There were far too many missed chances and liverpool are going to need a player who can really play up to the standards of the no. 9 and can play along side him.

terrastevethered (U10519776) posted May 6, 2008 It was a very comfortable win, not least because City came with no more ambition than they showed at Eastlands (two shots in the 90 mins - both free kicks) and luckily Liverpool's lack of a killer touch in front of goal wasn't punished this time (although Joe Hart made two great saves and Kuyt hit the bar so it could have been 4-0).

shoes ferocto (U11828313) posted May 7, 2008 Rafa can only do his squad rotating if there is a big enough/talented enough squad. He will have to buy some new, good players and only then can he do this, as he tried to experiment with Chelsea on Wednesday and City on Sunday-just doesn't work. Comment on this article
