• Massa made a mistake on the last turn of his hot lap
• Alonso will almost surely stop first with the lowest fuel load

I can see Lewis winning it. 5th on the grid is the perfect place to start these days due to the traction control issue. Alonso with his over the top ego will just smash into Raikonnen and I see Lewis finishing first!

Madrid king...its that type of attitude that is starting to wear thin. Lewis had a great opening season, but it was a miracle opening with alot of good fortune (until inexperience caught up with him in the final few races). I dont like the swagger lewis has these days and he seems to be treating f1 like a computer game, saying things like, 'oh im 5th and will jus pass everyone at the start', or, 'being in 4th place is better than pole cos theres no pressure and on clean side'. Its not playstation mate, he needs to get a grip.

I would agree that lewis maybe getting slightly uh "big for his boots" (cringe)

but is it just me or is his car slipping behind the ferraris?

It seems that BMW has caught up a bit and McLaren have dropped down so now they are on a par and ferrari are just that lil bit quicker

with the Iceman up front if Lewis doesn't pull something out of the bag the Iceman could build a lead thanks to that extra bit of pace.

Thoughts?

Dont know 'bout yo'll, whether its fuel or what, I am excited for FA. I am not even a fan of LH, but I feel the critisism being leveled on him is a bit over the top.... the media is a bit too skewd. Look at Kimi last season, had a bad start after Australia but went on to win it.... hope that dont happen to LH though

FellowK I dont get this thing about LH attitude. I think his personality is good for the sport because it makes up for drivers like Alonso and Raikkonen for not having one! Finger crossed for a good race Alonso to pit on lap 8. laugh

Hey mole, yeah absolutely the mclarens are slipping. But what makes Barcelona so exciting is that the teams all make huge leaps forward, so its not surprising that we're seeing a top team sink down the track. I think it's also credit to the strength of the ferraris. The reds had a disapointing opening race (two retirements), but in truth, they have been a different class since winter testing. And Kimi is just so much better now that he's champion, it seems he really wants to prove his dominance in this sport.

FellowK It's Formula 1 and you always have one team dominate which makes the sport a bit of a joke. Not since the 80's have we had competative racing between more than 2 teams! sadface Last year was a breath of fresh air because it was the 1st season in ages that was truly competative!

McLaren 90 & 91 * Dominated
Wiliams 92, 93 & 94 * Hill would have won if Schumi had not cheated in Australia.
Bennetton 95 * Schumi dominated
Williams 96 & 97 * Hill & Villeneuve neither shud have been WDC but the car gave it them!
McLaren 98 & 99 * Had the best car but struggled with 2 dodgy drivers!
Ferrari 2000 - 2004 * Schumi dominance! BORING!
Renault 2005 & 2006 * 1st title vs a slow Ferrari and unreliable McLaren. 2nd title vs a unreliable Ferrari and unreliable McLaren.
Ferrari 2007 - They had the best car but made a meal of it. Great season!

Interesting. Somehow, I remember everyone saying that McL was the best car of 2007, even right after the season had finished. They got all the british best car awards and everything. Why is suddenly ferrari the best car of 2007?
