***TEAM FOR SUNDAY***

Scottish Premier Celtic Rangers

If you were the manager, what would be your lineup?

We all know the Gers are going to be putting at least 8 behind the ball so, at home, what do we go for? An attacking lineup?

Unlike Benitez down south, I'm all for selecting a team according to FORM.

Here's mine:

---------------------------------- *BORUC*

----- *HINKEL* ------ *CALDWELL* ----- *MCMANUS* ------ *NAYLOR*

--------------------------------- *HARTLEY*

---- *NAKAMURA* ---------------------------------------- *MCGEADY*

---------------------------------- *ROBSON*

----------------------- *HESSELINK* ----- *SAMARAS*

Caldwell's a better footballer than Balde and since the latter has played about 3 games in about 2 years that makes him even more likely to make a disastrous mistake in such a high profile game. Plus, Caldwell set up 2 goals against them last time.

Hartley and Robson have proven to work extremely well together. Brown and Donati aren't completely disappointing, but Strachan's insistence in playing them when they are clearly off form is.

There will be no dropping of Naka, especially after his first appearance in a Old Firm last week.

Up front is always going to be between Skippy, Jan and Sam but seeing as Jan has suddenly started scoring we can't drop him. Meanwhile, this should one of of Samaras' few chances to start a game as McDonald's penalty miss was clear evidence that he desperately needs a rest.

Everyone else in the team need no explanation.

Enjoy the game, and here's to a resounding 3-0 victory!

Robson has done reasonably well since signing, hardly Strachan's worst signing (Donati, Sno, Graveson, Jarosik, Virgo, Killen etc etc!) Give Robson a chance! He was on course for player of the year before he came to cellic! And scored a belter of a header against Barca! (maybe accidental but hey!)

Celtic's Team

Holy Goalie

Doumbe (if fit), if not Hinkle
Caldwell
Mick McManus
Naylor

McGeady
Robson
Hartley
Naka

JVOH
Sammy bhoy

should be enough, knowing walter smith he'll probs put 5 at the back, and 4 defensive mids, with Jean Claude doing all the work on his own as per usual, poor guy! Its so predictable, we just need to stop giving the ball to little aiden every 2 minutes! Got to remember Hartley at Hearts was a 20 goal a season mid, give it to him now an then for a mazy wee run!

Anyways i've gabbed enough, but if smith brings on that wee pillock Novo, then get balde of the bench to take him out!!

be a close game, 1 goal in it to the Tic!

Cheery Bye

It would obviously be nice to win or get a draw in the SPL fixture so we can rest players for the rest of the domestic games and concentrate on the big games in Europe. This game is a bit of a nuisance really, it won't affect the the destination of the league title (whatever the result) but distracts from the bigger fish that Rangers have to fry. In the last OF we lost players to injury that are important for the UEFA games, so just hope that doesn't happen again, but if it does we will just have to accept three out of four ain't bad.
