prisonhornet (U8898919) posted Apr 26, 2008 Lets put emotions to one side here, yes it would be nice to remain an english owned club, yes it would be nice to remain a family club, but the way things are heading there are going to be only two sorts of football clubs, those with millionaire investors and those without.

Richard152 (U6358572) posted Apr 26, 2008 As a shareholder, I too would like to retain an interest. We don`t know enough about who and how much yet. When that information is available we can make judgement calls. We certainly need more money to compete with even the bottom half of the Premiership. I await hearing from the WST on their stance when any offer is tabled.

Sonofthedesert (U6782328) posted Apr 26, 2008 Of course it'll be an investor, probably from overseas (but not certainly); look at Derby. Extravagantly bad, yet they're getting £55million for their troubles, so they've been taken over by an investment company.

Sonofthedesert (U6782328) posted Apr 26, 2008 Oops. Derby will get approximately £35million, not £55million. Still, it's a very attractive figure, whichever way you look at it.
