comment on the article

Struggling Super Aguri have been cleared to race in this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix despite continuing uncertainty about their future.

Honda - which supplies Super Aguri with cars, engines and much of their funding - gave the go-ahead following meetings in Japan on Friday.

The team still need a buyer if they are to continue beyond this weekend's race.

The team has had long enough to find a new backer. Honda dont have a bottomless pit of money. I dont think people realise how much Honda have already put in.
They cant build their own car next season so forget it.

well it would seem that they have forgotten it - a shame for the team and drivers, but realistically they could not depend on honda forever. sad but true wonder who will buy the team now

what about the chances or minardi and Paul Stoddart taking it over?

i read somewhere a while back that he kept the minardi name when he sold the team to red bull.

Stoddart still owns the Minardi name, but wont be back in F1 anytime soon. He would need some big backers and I would be surprised if anyone would be interested considering the changes to rules for next year.

The need for teams to build a car from scratch is likely to prohibit entry into the series for all bar the top marques of the auto industry. It might even put pressure on the likes of Force India and Torro Rosso.

Really F1 should be looking to follow the Touring Car model more by having three championships: Drivers, Teams & Manufacturers with only those who do build from scratch elegible for the last of the three. That really would provide for the best of worlds, the ability to enter the sport with a lower budget and also the ability for the manufacturers to generate more income by selling to the privates. Perhaps even allow the private teams to enter one car instead of forcing them into two, it could allow for some interest at the back of the field were the likes of ProDrive, ART, Minardi and Aguri allowed to race in this way.

SUPER BEST FRIENDS! Too bad ~ so sad, hate to see you go. But not to be forgotten; thanks for fighting the good fight and all your noble effort, hard work.

Please to know your diligence & even meager F1 accomplishments were admired and appreciated by all those up und down pit row, and well respected by us fans, both in the stands e behind the screens.
HiHo.

federalexpress (U8888155) - If you want to send me the best examples I'll definitely take a look at them. Please try to keep the number down and explain exactly why you are citing those examples. I suggest you send them via the feedback form at the back of the FAQs (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/606/5257104.stm) and mark it clearly for my attention.

*saltirelass (U9682423) - I don't call the shot for the * brigade, I think that much is clear. But if I did, I'd suggest the prefix: "I love 606" winkeye
