Rosicky and Diaby out for the season

comment on the article

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Tomas Rosicky and Abou Diaby will join fellow midfilder Alexander Hleb in missing the remainder of the season.

Link to the main story: news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foo...

Rosicky's hamstring problem has failed to clear up and he may well also miss Euro 2008.

Diaby tore a tendon in his thigh during the reserve team's victory over West Ham on Monday night.

Hleb, meanwhile, is suspended for the last three games.

Give us your reaction to the injury news. It seems to have been one injury blow after the next for Wenger's side this term.

Our players are of slight build, quick and technical. They are going to pick up injuries.
lets all CTFO. we shouldn't sell Rosicky or Diaby; Give me the name of a match winning player that has never been injured???

Diaby is out of position on the left. drop him in the middle and we will shine.

Now is time to give the Barazite, Denilson & Lansbury a go in the middle with Cesc, Theo & Song. We don't have a lot to play for and a run would do these kids good. They know the Arsenal way and need experience.

We can't buy too many players as it will unsettle the team.

I think wenger just needs to be more careful when he picks his transfers. He tedns to go for quality and speed above all, but doesnt discriminate on physical attributes such as strenght, height, or how injury prone a player is. I'm not sure about Song but Toure is quite capable of playing anywhere. have you seen him makes runs up the pitch from defence and his long shots are not that bad. If any young arsenal player isn't that good it is sendoros. he isnt crap but he is a nervous wreck who is a bit error prone

Senderous a bit error prone. He is an absolute train wreck waiting to happen for a self confessed player who claimed he began as a centre forward. He is positionally poor, hasnt got the pace to recover and he's concentration span isnt greater than that of a fish. No team would ever win the league with senderos as CB

People forget that we have a lot of young players out on loan. The likes of Vela and Merida are highly rated

Mancs_Logic Wenger has already said that Merida is not yet ready for the Physical demands of the Premier-League so dont expect him to step up next season.

As for Rosicky its pretty obvious this guy will be leaving us this summer which is a shame, but we cant rely on a player for goals(seeing as Helb wont contribute or cant) who is out for 3 parts of the season.

Toure is a good defender he isnt a great defender, and is nearly always out of position meaning he uses his pace to get out of these situations.

personally i would only use him as a squd player, and buy 2 other taller defenders who can actually defend and not get caught up in attacking.

Fabregas needs to be rested more next season, whether Denilson is the player to fill in is another question, personally a more versatile midfielder is needed.

Hleb and Flamini may well be leaving us, in which case we need to look for replacements, who they are only Wenger knows so the Summer will be very interesting.

guys, where did you hear Rosicky might leave? I hope not!

I agree that Arsene tends to look for fast, fragile and very skilful players (RVP, Rosicky, even Walcott) who unfortunately tend to be a bit injury prone. In addition, no one is yet sure how Eduardo will be until frankly sometime late into the next season. It also looks like Flamini, Hleb, Gilberto and Senderos might leave us. So, it is imperative that we buy this summer.

My dream Arsenal squad for next season:

GK: Almunia, Lehman, Fabianski

RB: Sagna, Eboue, Hoyte
CB: Kolo Toure, Gallas, Micah Richards,
LB: Clichy, Caneira or some other left back (cover for Clichy)

DM: Song, Flamini (if he stays), Gilberto (if he stays), Yaya Toure, Senderos (convert him to this position rather than sell him)

RM: Walcott, Rosicky

LM: Ben Arfa, Diaby, Hleb (if he stays)

CM; Fabregas, Denilson, Diego,

Strikers: RVP, Ade, Eduardo, David Villa

So, unlike many people, I think we need to buy a lot this summer (Richards, Ben Arfa, Diego, David Villa, and one more left back cover for Clichy). We are looking at over 60 million to spend - more if Flamini, Hleb, Gilberto all leave.)

He is is actually 23 but still has to go because he is terrible!!

With Hleb, Diaby and Rosicky out for the remaining 3 games anyone got any idea of what the midfield is going to look like tomorrow??

i'm guessing wengers going to play a 4-5-1
Almunia if he's fit again
Toure Song Gallas Clichy
Walcott Fabregas Gilberto Flamini Van Persie
Adebayor
