Manchester City vs Fulham

26th April 2008, 3.00 pm

A great goal from Ireland and cool finish from Benjani made it 2-0 at half time, but the second half was a different story. Kamara shot through Hart's legs, and Murphy scored the penalty rebound after a good save from Hart. Bullard twice went close with two free kicks, and Kamara then fired past Joe Hart to give Fulham a fighting chance.

Words cannot sum up how I and other Fulham fans are feeling. What a comeback. When Fulham were 2-0 down, I thought that's it were relegated. But what a comeback. What a second half performance from the lads. I am sure City fans will be furious after throwing away a game that looked to be over, but what a win for Fulham, they may still stay up. Maybe the most important game in Fulham's history is next week at the Cottage.

What a comeback from Fulham, we may still stay up. True Football Genius
Manchester City: Hart, Corluka, Ball, Jihai, Elano, Gelson, Johson, Petrov, Ireland (Geovanni 56), Vassell, Benjani.

Fulham: Keller, Stateri, Hangeland, Hughes, Konchesky, Davies, Bullard, Murphy, Dempsey, Healy (Kamara 64), McBride (Nevland 71).

But what do you think? Can Fulham pull off a miracle? Is it time for Sven to go? Who was man of the match?

What are your thoughts?

It would be a grand escape if they pull it off! I still believe that Fulham wouldn't be in this situation if they'd kept hold of Coleman! Saying this, I do believe that Roy's doing a good job in a tough situation!

Trying to figure out if Kudos is a WUM or not, if he is it is a good effort if he isn't then what a sad loser. How is our groud the shittest in the league, it has bigger capacity than Wigan, Reading and Portsmouth. It is one of the easiest grounds to get to in the country with 2 tube stations and a train station within 10 minutes walk unlike stadiums like Derby and Reading when you have the delight of walking through a concrete wasteland to get there with no transport nearby. It also has character, it does not look like every other ground in this country, reading, derby, southampton, middlesborough, darlington, all these stadiums look the same why do we want that, it has a the 2nd oldest stand in the country, which is protected by the government as a listed building, the cottage which is completely unique to any ground in the world and is next to the thames for a great view. Mighty city, don't make me laugh, you cannot hold a 2-0 lead against us then that makes you a bunch of losers.

as a life long city fan, please Sun Jihai leave us in peace and go and pour your rubbish onto a more suitable home-- if anyone would have you!
well done fulham, but as many said on the way back home you needed the points. As for city well boy do we miss Richards, Dunne and a left back. Felt sorry for Corluka and Hart who tried to defend on their own for the whole game! should have won easily, but you have to play for 90 mins not just 45, Svens got some work over the summer here.

Great comeback by Fulham.

Hope you stay up next season when we will sell you Sun Jihai in exchange for Jimmy Bullard.

wow what a game!!!
i honestly thought 2-0 down fulam were relegated, although they have won and have given themselves a chance i still think they wudnt be in this situation if they had hung on coleman. however despite the situation they have been in finally roy hodgson has got them playing attacking minded football they needed to a win like this to give them comfidance. hodgson ahs never been a manager witht he attacking style of play always defensive but knew they needed to change it here after looking down towards the championship.

like tottenham fulams defence seems very poor so i think they need to focus on attacking minded football. if they go 1-0 up against birminham next week push for 2 3 or even 4 to close the game. they've got the players to do it as they showed in 3-3 match with spurs.

i think the problem for the season with fulam is yes they're defence has been poor but they're attack went through a phase of no or very little comfidance and now they are starting to retain it when it matters.

good luck fulam i dont want another london club to go down like charlton did. if they achieve saftey it'll have been a remarkable comeback froma side everyone was touting has the favourties to go down after derby.

i love this stage of the season and i predict that both the title race and relegation battle will go right to the last game where anything can happen
