Actually - where is Milan Mandaric?

Leicester City

comment on the article

Whilst it is generally accepted that the recent press stories regarding Mandaric are fabrication- one has to say at the moment he is conspicuous by his silence.
Not normally reticent and last year in the van of our relegation fight (remember the free buses to Barnsley),both he and Paul Aldridge have been "deafeningly" free of comment in recent weeks.
I can understand that he finds it difficult to aggressively support Holloway -in case things go badly and he has to fire him-but a public word to the supporters and the team would not go amiss!!
Where are you Milan- still with us I hope!!
Some interesting views expressed on my original article and maybe an update of current information and some calculated evaluations may be worthwhile.
The most relevant newspaper article is not the recent Mirror "tabloid" type report but one a few weeks ago in the Guardian regaring the financial situation of "large" clubs like Leicester facing possible relegation.
Mandaric was interviewed and his comments were both thoughtful and revealing.Key points were that his experience with Portsmouth was very different from that experienced at Leicester.
Portsmouth originally had little infrastructure costs and relatively low expectations.
At Leicester he finds Premiership structures which are costly to maintain thus depriving revenue from new investment but a high supporter expectation forcing him to invest further personally in new players but with little chance of recouping this without promotion to the Premiership.
Intersting quotes include " Leicester foundations are built on sand" and "cannot even calculate the effect of relegation but do not sleep well".
In this situation ,I would be very surprised that Mr Mandaric was not looking at a "sell" option - which is a long way from "quitting" or walking away.
There have been rumours of wealthy "local" businessmen interested and my own view after carefully reading the statement from Paul Aldridge on the FoxesTrust question is -watch for developments!
The main point remains that as supporters the best we can do is give the players maximum support in the remaining fixtures to ensure Championship football next season and also let Mandaric know we appreciate his committment in our club.

Well the question is - where is his Chairman "support" in the run up to this weeks critical match, which was also absent for the Barnsley game.
===================================
He did appear on Talksport on the morning of the game against Barnsley.

He sounded very positive despite the situation we are in, he obviously didn't expect us to be where we are now but don't expect him to just leave because there is a bit of pressure. He is where he is because he can handle these type of situations.

I believe he is still commited to the job and will continue to support the manager in anyway he can. So I call BS because we are an easy target due to our situation

My apologies for my lack of faith Milan.

It's just that after a while of supporting City, you can't help but look for the cloud behind every silver lining!!!

I honestly think Milan is being quiet because Ollie has told him to. I think Ollie will have said "Look you not helping it makes the players nervous and the fans tetchy just let me do the talking."

Thnak god Milan has dismissed this ludicrous reports of him leaving.
All he needs to do its back Ollie and make sure that the club is back where it should be with everything in order.
We need to repair years of mismanagement and winning on saturday starts the major rebuilding process that we hope will make sure we can challenge for the play-offs at least next season.

Come on Homer!!! I know that Holloway is not the brightest on the block-far from it! but to imagine him suggesting to Mandaric that he should "stay quiet" borders on the ludicrous. He is hanging by a thread now!!
What was interesting was the lack of expressed personal support for Holloway and his great disappointment with results. He used the phrase "corrections" necessary for next season.
Any way - he's given us his support so I'll get my season tickets tomorrow regardless - fairs- fair!!

Milan is a legend! He has been where he is right now three times before at Pompey. I personally think that he looks at a football club as a business and keeps putting in investment untill he gets a return. Lets face it leicester in the premiership with the walkers stadium and a decent number of fans is worth a fortune same as Pompey in our cow shed.
Dont get me wrong without Milan we would at best be in the Championsip and maybe out of business, my point is you are in the safe hands of a hard nosed businessman, who knows how to get a club into the Prem and cash in. Like I said he is a legend and you are lucky to have him. Dont beleive the usual media BS.

I wouldn't necessarily call Mandaric a "legend", he's certainly a successful businessman but you have to question is ability in getting the right manager for the job.

Leicester City, in my view, have not yet got the right manager that will return this Club to the Premiership.

I sincerely hope that when our Championship status has been secured he will take a step back, reflect and realise where he has gone wrong and more importantly - do something positive about it!!
