Firstly congratulations are in order for Russell and the boys.Great to hear passion in Russell's voice post Swansea. Lets get the out of contract players signed up again, mainly Marcus etc.Can people please give ideas of players/positions needed to be filled for next season without being over critical. My immediate suggestion would be Hubertz from Northampton, who has just been released. He is a target man with good control and passion. I was pleased to hear Skivo talk up wanting Way back. The future is looking bright with Smith,Maher,Fitzgerald,Alcock and Downes.Any suggestions and comments please.

Hubertz is going to sign for a Danish club.

But Danny Schofield (winger from Huddersfield) has apparentely just bought a house in Yeovil and will sign in the summer

Schofield turned us down last summer, but would be an excellent signing. Good to see smithy has signed untill the end of next season. Would also like to add to tweeglover's list of players to replace. Nath jones and bircham. But do think keeping the most consitant player, scott guyett, and paul warne for his skill and constant effort, would be a benifit to the team next season.

Wouldn't bet on any good signings.

John Fry has announced that YTFC will be making cutbacks and may have to sell some players.

What i want to know is where has the cohen and davies money gone not to mention the play-off final money...

Notts forest only paying the 1.2 mil in installment, which is stupid. We also make £500,000 profit every season.

Get rid of the under performing, over paid players and manager. That should be the cut backs. Then bring in a new defence, midfield, strikers.

I think the end of season has come at the wrong time for us, we've finally found a team that works together and we'll probably lose some of those players now.
Think we really need to look at our midfield, too much of the season we just haven't had one which is what led to us playing long ball tactics and I don't want to have to watch that again.
I'd like to see Warne stay, he always keeps running. Keep Skivo and Marcus but let the rest of the old boys go bringing in some youngsters that are trying to prove themselves as they tend to put in more effort

I've not been totally convinced by Maher, what are peoples take on him?

We need a strong centre back. We'll be fine up front, and perhaps we could use a decent midfielder, that would really strengthen the squad, but no need for drastic cuts.

so basically Zorba, get a new team. well I'd disagree with that, I think we could do with a strong central defender and a decent winger, and we'd be set.

If the attempts to get Darren Way to come back then I reckon he would be a great acquisition.

Paul Warne will stay if he's fit, don't worry about that. He's entitled to another year with the number of games he played this season, but he doesn't want to sign up for it until he knows that his foot has recovered enough for him to be any use to the club.

Top bloke, I reckon.

I think that we have to accept that we Yeovil are now at our natural level. Staying at in League 1 should be our aim every season and any success on top is a bonus. Last year we punched well above our weight. I like the idea of Way returning .. would give some real bit in midfield. One player I have seen a couple of times and have been impressed with is Cox the Brighton winger. He a small chap but quick and good on the ball. I also think that we we should try a cheaky bid to get Davies back. I know hes been injured buthas hardly played at forest. Hes always a sub and gets 5 mins here and 15 mins there. We could guarantee him 1st team football.
