Premier League Reading
comment on the article

I know all Reading fans wont be happy but im over the moon that Leroy has been recalled i hope he goes straight into the 11 for Saturday!! I think his qaulity of finishing and his extra pace is what we need and like i said he should never have gone anywhere in the 1st place!! I hope he prooves all his doubters wrong and I hope you lal get behind him not on top of him!!

As a supporter of another "small" club I hope Reading stay up and one of the "big" teams go, but, having seen lita's efforts for Charlton when should have been going all out to impress - don't pin your hopes on him!
Good luck

such a relief to have Lita back, i thort it was a huge mistake to let him go on loan in the first place and i believe Lita can turn the tide for us after a difficult season for him. He will be classesd as a hero by Reading fans i think if he can put in some winning performances in our crucial stage of the season. Is it to late? no, should he of gone out on loan? never and as a few ppl mentioned i think Coppell is aware of the mistake he has made and trying to correct this. Come on Leroy, do the job !!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a Charlton fan, I'm pretty happy that LL has gone back to Reading, for two reasons.

1. Sadly, for all his exploits in getting Reading up and his undoubted talent, he just hasn't performed this season - for Reading or Charlton. He needs 10 chances to even get one on target, let alone score - not what we needed to help us in our (rather pathetic) promotion push.

2. Perhaps it will force Pardew to concentrate on some of the other strikers he signed at the start of the season, who were doing OK until they were edged out by loanees Lita and Andy Gray - neither of whom have done the business.

That said, I sincerely hope Reading stay up - they've proved a model of how to come up and stay competitive by sticking to what made them successful (as Charlton did for a few seasons).

Coppell deserves all the plaudits. Good luck you Royals.

i dont agree with the fact that willyrfc says you have forgiven Lita. he was never on the wrong so get it right. the whole issue about Lita i believe Came with his off the pitch scenes. If Reading was not threatened by the relegation battle, there wont be an SOS call. I believe he should just find a better trusting club after this season. They are going down anyway. Most of you forget that this is the same promising under 21 dude, that set the premiership on fire last season. Copell was wrong to have left him out of his squad, and he needs to apologise. All in all he kept his cool, when not even making the bench, now the manager is looking for a miracle in Lita. Championship here’s your new arrival.

I think Bristol City fans would have welcomed him back (just on loan though!) great player for us a few seasons ago.

Grandslamgeoreg you make me laugh !!
1. Lita far from set the Premiership alight last season - you mistake him for Kevin Doyle
2. If Lita was never in the wrong what are these 'off the field' issues you refer to ?
3. There has been no 'SOS' call. Now Charlton have nothing to play for it makes sense to call our loan player back. Whether Lita plays or not it's better to have him available. He's not the only loan player we have or are going to recall at this point.
4. Lita didn;t keep his cool - he whined and moaned to the press. Coppell has kept cool and when you compare the track records of the two I think you'll find Coppell is the one who has th eimpressive CV whereas Lita talks a good game but has yet to deliver consistently.

Other than being wrong in every resepect you make a valuable contribution to the debate....

One thing that angers me most, Coppell has been choosing Long over Lita all season, no offence to Long but whenever he gets the ball, he seems to lose it.

I honestly think that if Coppell had played 2 strikers all season (Doyle and Lita) then we wouldn't be in this mess.

Why does Coppell seem to insist on playing on playing 1 striker against the so-called 'top 4', he said it himself "play for a draw and get hammered".

If Coppell had played Oyle and Lita all season then we'd not have had our top scorer playing - which seems wrong....

As for his tactics against the top 4 - seems to have actually worked OK. Only Arsenal have given us a hard time. Two really good / tight games against Liverpool, two excellent halves against Chelsea and one dodgy one, a superb defensive perfor4mance at OT and a great up and at em game at our place against United.

How would you suggest we could have imporved on our overall performance against the top 4 ?
