With my best wishes to all the FA and LH haters

This is the first "direct opinion" I heard of last year from Alonso. This is part of a very interesting interview

www.elpais.com/articulo/depo...

Q. Were you disappointed with the people of McLaren
A. Not with all, each person has its ways. I think there were grand workers and engineers among the 1000 people who work at McLaren, but it is true that some people disappointed me and I wasn’t able to work with them. I wasn’t interested to follow in that situation.

P. Was Hamilton among those?
R. No. He was outside of all of this. It has been always of him people have spoken and this animadversion was created, but I never had any problem with him. People speak of Hungary, of the pit-stop, but anyway, he wasn’t to blame at all. The team was the one who had to take the decisions, and if the agreement was that I had to go out first and have an extra lap to burn fuel, the team was the responsible to keep the things like that. However, they never seemed too interested. It really seemed they didn’t have any interest in me being with them. McLaren was a good car, a winning car, but I knew I could never do it in that team.

"massive - Just because you can drive fast does not mean you are talented. Your point is?"

swnyrmor

This is so ridiculous it is beginning to reach the levels of self harming. The whole point of F1 is to be talented enough to drive very fast!
You don't have to keep up an argument when it has been roundly proven to be shallow and baseless. Take a much needed rest.

spectacularsteve come on, When it comes to F1, which is all that matters, for now, and probably forever, Shumi will go down as the best ever period. He and Brawn took a team that couldn’t get out of it’s own way to the top. And since then, generally, they haven’t stopped. 05 was the exception to the rule. But that had to do more with the tires then the car.

"PosEFC: I think it's because I brought out the big guns (raw facts) and he had to shut up..."

WRONG! PosEFC doesn't know jack about the 2000 CIK-FIA scoring tablesand misrepresented them. Look at head to head race performance Marco beat Hamilton. 2001 scored all races equally and had a much more talented driver roster. Marco Ardigo, with his mom and dad doing repairs beat Rosberg and Hamilton in team drives. FACT. can't argue otherwise, ask anyone in the pits at Angerville on 5 may

Speccy Steve - the problem was that while you were banging on about some driver name, you obviously pulled out of a hat, you failed to back up your incredible claims with anything remotely like facts. Every claim you made was supported by reference to a JPEG. You may be able to get away with that in the occupied territories but not here.

I have searched for the data on your behalf and Lo and Behold you are right. In the following competition Marco out performed Lewis in 8 out of 9 races.

FORMULE SUPER A 2001
Marco Ardigo 12th on 48 points
Lewis Hamilton 15th on 28 points
http://www.cikfia.com/championnat/resultats-2001/World-f.htm

Now all you have to do is work out what happened here.

European Championship Formula A 2000
Lewis Hamilton 1st 75 points
Maraco Ardigo 3rd 41 points

Italian Open Masters Formula A 2001
Lewis Hamilton 4th 81.4 points
Marco Ardigo 22nd 12 points

By the way, I enjoyed your article concerning the future of F1
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A34014494
This is where you suggested that they (F1 Teams) weld a aircraft engine onto the back of a go-kart.

EASY those were single races both marked by incidents:
European Championship Formula A 2000
Lewis Hamilton 1st 75 points
Maraco Ardigo 3rd 41 points

AT THE START, ROBERT KUBICA FORCED MARCO INTO THE GRASS(Kubica 3rd, Ardigo pole), MARCO DROPPED TO 7th...

Italian Open Masters Formula A 2001
Lewis Hamilton 4th 81.4 points
Marco Ardigo 22nd 12 points

MASSIVE FOURTH CORNER SHUNT. THIS HAPPENS. MARCO HAS BEEN SENT TO THE BACK OR THE MIDFIELD twice THIS SEASON IN KF1, and is focusing more on KZ2(although Euro and world, and asia-pac races will see him gunning for KF1 titles).

Ardigo is faster than Hamilton in a kart, faster than anyone in f1, including Schumacher( just search "schumacher La conca" at youtube and you can see them together yet again.

And No, I didn't "pull his name out of a hat," I've been watching the guy for years and found him a nice car job, but he said "no." Very odd, who wouldn't want a free ride at newman-wachs and newman-haas-lanigan?
I never advocated welding an aircraft engine on a kart. I said that with today's electronics and gearbox technology, turboshaft-CVT powerplants are very cost effective and reliable means of producing power outputs in excess of today's GP V-8s at a fraction of the cost.

No, he and Mislijevic and Aliprandi took me and Ove Olsson very seriously. Marco just didn't want a career in the states. I don't see why he wouldn't take someone seriously when they set him up with the team boss with a simple phone call. He would have taken bourdais' old seat, the one currently occupied by justin Wilson. sad for us, but hopefully the GP2/Ferrari test route continues to be open to him
