Benjani Mwaruwari - what a man of class!

Portsmouth Manchester City

comment on the article

He refused to celebrate after scoring against his former club, Portsmouth. What a class gesture, especially given how well-taken his goal was.

He seems like a genuinely nice bloke off the pitch as well.

Very well done, Mr. Mwaruwari, and I'll buy you a pint if I ever run into you, even though you play for City.

well he has been trying hard since that goal against United, and what a way to break that drought by scoring against his immediate old club. He has been frustrated a couple of times. Good luck to him

i also thought it was a very noble gesture by benny. Gotta love those footballers who show love for a club they have been successful at, robbie keane's another - class!

on the subject of portsmouth, does anyone else think that Muntari's hair cut looks like he has a tu rd precariously balanced on top of head! strange look if its deliberate!

Refreshing to see in this age of $$$.
Remember Shevchenko kissing his badge after he scored his first goal for Chelski? Unless you've been at the club for most of your life, you do NOT have the right to kiss the badge. The only person I know that can do that is Paolo Maldini, and to a lesser extent, Raul.

Benji is a great role model for any aspiring footballer. He gives 100%, always plays with a smile, has respect for others and deserves every success.

Well done Benji. To be honest I think he's learnt from his time at Pompey as there is a good sportsman attitude amongst the club and fans.
