What a superb performance. Ashley Young was pure class, as was Laursen, Petrov and Barry. Zat Knight was however a little dissapointing.

It's gonna get real interesting next week at Goodison!

Well done MON and the boys!
Keep on walking blues.......

Thankfully Villa have stuck with a great manager and it's begining to pay dividends...

Great result but credit should go to the manager for building a team on limited funds (compared to others). Not many teams can profess to having scored 11 goals in 2 games this season...

Well done Villa and nice going O'Neill

if we beat everton next wk then its looking good. will be a though game and id take a draw now because evertons lst 2 games r alot tougher than ours!!

but another overlooked fact is our 15 goals in d last 3 games have made our goal difference better than evertons!!

the fight for the UEFA cup spot it back on!

Congrats the better team won, on that performance we deserve to go down, if we can't even turn up to a derby match with a former old firm manager then we haven't got a chance

I know they are your biggest and most hated rivals but I hope you Villa fans realise that if you want to crack the top five or even make the champions league, it is not thrashing bottom of the table sides that is going to get you there. Yeah rub it in all the blue noses as much as you want. But remember Chelsea don't care about beating Fulham, they expect to. Man Utd are quite happy to lose to Man City twice as long as they beat Arsenal and Liverpool. And Liverpool biggest game of the season is not the derby but Man Utd! Enjoy the win over Blues but remember just as you have been saying all your life they are s**t and beating them doesn't make you a top team!

Birmingham deserve their fate. May Martin "Hatchet Man" Taylor, Big "I Want A Physical Game" Mac, and his band of thugs go down to the Championship where their style of play can be "appreciated". Let's hope their kind remain absent from the Premier League for decades!

Well Villa showed their class, and with the run in they have, a draw might well be good enough at goodison.

Blues might have 2 games at home, but they're against Liverpool and Blackbun, so expect them to lose and in all probability go down. Being a Villa fan, I'm ecstatic. I'd love to see the look on the face of that guy who ran on to taunt Enkleman a few years back! Oh dear! 5-1! BCFC deserve to be in the championship.
