Keep on tryingEuropean Tour by Doha_Expat (U3459181) 20 April 2008 I have just had the great pleasure of watching a very good pro on the European Tour, who many would describe as a ‘journeyman’; get his first win on Tour. Latest comments

kellypk (U5537018) posted Apr 20, 2008 It was a fantastic performance. At 37, McGranes career is beginning to take off. He has been threatening to win a title for the past few years, and now that he has won, I'm sure he will win again. Nobody has experienced a tougher journey through the European tour than McGrane. For the first 10 years of his professional career he made no impact. Then in his mid thirties, all his hard work and talent started to pay dividends. This win will mean the world to McGrane and unlikely as it seems, I predict he will win a major before he is 40.

moynalty (U11706522) posted Apr 21, 2008 A very good performance and well done Damien. I grew up playing pitch and putt with Damien in kells. He was a demon around the greens then and that has stayed with him ever since. When he decided to try the longer game he was a natural and all his pitch and putt experience make life very difficult for all the members at Headfort GC. He was a brillant partner to have on a fourball team especially at Christmas when we won loads of turkeys and hampers. A very proud day for Ireland and especially Headfort GC.
