Another superb performance from Wigan 1-1 at this stage of play is a must...and well deserved, matched Tottenham ball for ball.
Just hope Heskey and Bents ok for the run in.
Reading next?...c'mon that must be 3 points!
Well done lads,soon be safe.
Commentators still a bloody nightmare one day they might actualy say wigan did well not the other team under-performed but hey we should be used to that now.

Oh dont get me wrong it's not all moaning at the ref. More that if a decision goes against the likes of Berbatov or Keane, in particular, their head will go down, they'll moan about for a couple of minutes - and like on one occasion today - totally forget what they are on the pitch to do.

Berbatov was having a sulk about something or other and one of his team mates made a simple 10 yard pass to him but he was more bothered about moaning so he actually just ignored the ball and let it trickle out for a throw in.

I'd find that mighty frustrating if i was a Spurs fan.

So, Tottenham have finally got to 41 points and now all but mathmatically out of being in contention to be relegated with birmingham only being able to achieve 43 points now. If I was a Tottenham fan i'd be appauled with the way they have played since the league cup, the belief they have nothing to play for is nonsense...their places in the team, a better league position, the fans!

42points, my apologies...still pitful for a team like Tottenham! Albeit actually are mathmatically safe with Reading on able to get 41points

solid performance by wigan, no-one really stood out but i realised today as well as being a top quality player palacios' work rate is outstanding.
very disappointed bent missed the chance to win the game, he showed some good chances today but if i was bruce id let him go back to charlton and sign someone who could actually finish
bent and king have to go, maybe sibierski. when we signed aghahowa he never got a run in the team like king has so i think we should give him another try.

Disappointed and I hope events don't conspire now to see us relegated. A defeat against Reading next week could see us going to Villa away needing points, and potentially needing something from the last day of the season against a Manu side who might also need a win to guarantee the title.

This isn't the first time we've played ourselves into a good position, then relaxed too soon. We beat Bolton, then relax against Blackburn. We beat Brum, take a point from Chelsea then fail to press home our advantage against a Spurs team we could've beat. We could've been safe tonight, if the players had played with some urgency, as if this was a must win. Instead we're going into a game next week against a Reading side who MUST beat us to stay up.

Squeaky bum time is right. Three points next week and we're ok. Get beat and I can see us going down.

At the risk of cheering up a pie-eater if you get a point out of your remaining games Bolton would have to beat either the spuds or chelski away as well as the makems. While mathematically possible it's as unlikely as one of your lot getting a pastie instead of a pie! Mind you I wouldn't bet against another premiership derby with us next season.

We now need 4 points to absolutely guarentee being in the prem next season so a win against reading and a draw against villa or the mancs will guarentee us in the prem and i think all we need is a win next week.

I can't see Bolton beating Spurs on their own home turf somehow - they'll be without Kevin Davies for a start.

They won at Boro but they are inconsistent but looking at Spurs home form, they are practically rampant despite the odd slip up here and there. No, I think this will be a win for Juande Ramos' men and if they win that, Bolton HAVE to beat Sunderland and Chelsea.

They won't beat Chelsea and I think they can beat Sunderland.

The point we got today against Tottenham is massive.

Next week I can't see us losing to Reading. Our home form will see us through though knowing Reading's own desire to beat the drop, this one could end in a draw but it will be enough to see us stay in the premier league I think.

Good result today - not ideal but good enough.

With a few signings Wigan will be a really good side, Valencia and Palacios look very good players. Bruce has done a very VERY good job.

As someone pointed out above, our bunch of muppets thought the season ended when we won the League Cup and went out of the UEFA on penalties. If we can lose 4-1 at home to Newcastle, anything is possible...
