redwhiteandbluelions (U6162028) posted Apr 16, 2008 Why are so many of you including Gerrard in your starting squad? I love "Stevie G" but he disappeared in the France game. Too often he plays with his head down for England , which is fine playing Andorra when he can muscle a result all by himself but this style of play will certainly not be acceptable in the Capello regime. Unfortunately I think Gerrard needs to grab some pine. Club form is only part of the form equation, a players form in recent international games is also part of it.

Collister001 (U11642868) posted Apr 16, 2008 Fabio is spot on as usual. He's an excellent manager and his style of management will suit england perfectly. No frills kind of football who wins stuff. Look at what he did at Real - no frills football won't win the crowd over as in Spain, but with the players that England have his management style suits perfectly. If England don't win anything under this guy, then there is nobody who can.
