Moving day at the Masters

Masters
comment on the article

Right then gang - it's day three at the Masters and may it have everything that day two had.

Great golf
Lots of Brits in the hunt
Plenty of sunshine
And lashings of lively debate here on 606

Yesterday it was all about coming up with song titles involving Masters players and pundits. A couple of personal favourites were: "Michael Jackson - The Man in O'Meara", "Costantino Rocca Bye Baby" and "Ken Brown girl in the ring tra-la-la-la-la". Inspired!

Today, let's start afresh. I'm sure you'll come up with some excellent comments and themes.

Golf-wise, the same question stands. Will Tiger Woods finally make his charge? He is lurking at -1, seven shots off the lead of Trevor Immelman. Any yet the bookies have him as joint favourite, with twice winner Phil Mickelson, who is on -5 and looking menacing.

I fully expect Tiger to be a factor today. Does anyone out there dare to disagree?

Other names to watch are past winners Mickelson, Mike Weir and Vijay Singh.

And what about those Brits? Justin Rose's challenge may have wilted, but self-styled world number two Ian Poulter is flying as is Casey. Westwood would be better placed but for one bad hole on Friday.

Ifs buts and maybes. The action is upon us. Rob Hodgetts and Mark Orlovac will be your guides on the BBC Sport website. Share your views here and enjoy.

Unfortunately I have forgotten her name but the BBC interviewer last night came out with the most inane question to Paul Casey when she asked him whether he thought he could win The Masters! Did she expect him to say no even though at the time he was all of 2 strokes behind the leader! Where do the BBC get these people from?

There seems to be something missing in Tigers game on this ocassion, as he isn't making many birdies and the putter seems to be getting cold (perhaps it's the influence of the cold snaps they seem to be getting). He can still win as the others have to cope with the pressure of trying to win their first major, but i believe on this ocassion a South african by the name of Immelmann will win. His driving has been immense(straight and long)and providing he can keep that up i am sure he has another sub 70 round in him, which will mean the others having to go very low to just catch him let alone beat him.smiley

Think Trevor has the game and temperament to take this one.

Is BBC showing the whole i.e from holes 1 -18 live today? I know they have been showing Amen Corner Live, but if they showing the final day live I would like to know the link, thanks!!

Just love the golf, and it was usually 100% until that Linekar fellow came along and put his two pennorth in; he may be ok for soccer ( I never watch it so can't comment) but IMHO he is like a ice puck on a cricket pitch.

Tiger Woods is the best, but won't win. Like West Brom in the Championship.

You'll note my masters predictions from yesterday afternoon below

"I predict no British player in the top 5

A non yank will win

Tiger woods will finish 3- about 3 strokes off the pace about tied 6th"

So - Got 3 & a half out of 5 right except Tigers finishing position.

Shame about being right on brits..
