MAN UNITED 2-1 ARSENAL {R.I.P 13/4/08}Arsenal Manchester United by RĐ25™ (U7423338) 10 April 2008
LIVE ACTION:
Manchester United took a giant leap to the title, with a 2-1 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford Arsenal came into the game knowing they needed to win, and they were by far the better team in the 1st half with A.Hleb at the heart of everything good from the Gunners, however for all their possession the couldn't find a goal in the 1st half. The team in white didn't need to wait long to get their reward however, E.ADEBAYOR found the back of the net with a header (which looked more like he scored with his hand), 3 mins after the restart. However UNITED were gifted A chance to get back of the game when William Gallas handled in the Box, it was up to the man with the Golden Touch CRISTIANO RONALDO, and having to retake his 1st penalty he made no mistake blasting the ball past Lehmann. O.HARGREAVES stepped up to take a free-kick after Evra was tripped by Gilberto, And the number 4 didn't fail to score the winner ! which sends ARSENAL out of the title race, surely ? |

Rooney was better than Walcott at Walcott's age ok
I don't think he will make it, I think he just might be one of them players that don't fulfill their potential.
Could prove me wrong though, but his run was flukey in my opinion ok

The referee played the biggest part in this win and now there is no doubt in my mind that Man U will win the league.

So Man Utd should win the title whats new. Liverpool get way too many headlines for the premiership where they have done nothing, and UTD it's about time you proved yourselves in Europe

wenger must avoid his reliance on naturing youngsters or else he will continue to break our hearts forever.Arsenal isnt a kindergatten, its a club.

It's a good point made about Wenger's nurturing talent and not wanting to but experienced players.
A good team will always have a good blend of youth and experience. It's almost as though Wenger wants to create the perfect team in his image, rather in the same way his team want to create the perfect goal on the pitch.

United need to win at Ewood Park on Saturday evening to inch closer to the title then we can fully focus on Barcelona, it is frustrating that the Chelsea game is sandwiched between the European games. If Rio, Vidic, Rooney & Ronaldo stay fit till the end of the season I can see United completing the double.
P.S. I hope Fergie gives Frazier Campbell an opportunity next season he looks a better prospect than Rossi.

I don’t normally make predictions but I have a feeling Man Utd are going to blast Blackburn off the park on Saturday. If you had asked me on Monday how I thought the game would go, I would have said that it would be a very tight and edgy game, Utd playing very conservative and not wanting to give anything away to a club who’ve been one of our bogie sides over the years. But since Chelsea could only draw with Wigan on Monday night, I think Utd will have the bit between the teeth and will just go for it. I think they know the title is almost within their grasp now and will want to try and wrap it up ASAP. I think also they’ll want a good strong performance to boost confidence before they embark on a tough schedule where they play Barcelona twice and Chelsea away in the space of 7 days which could really make or break their season.
My prediction: Blackburn Rovers 0 – Man Utd 4

Tell me about it, after a weekend when United all but won the title, Arsenal had there season ended, Chelsea's boss stands on the brink, all we get from the BBC is an article from Hansen about Hicks and Gillet... Liverpool scrape fourth again... i get my Champions League news from the champions league providers websites, so why is the Beeb so obsessed with also-rans Liverpool!!??
