That was poor Hamilton

OK, So I am one of the biggest Hamilton fans on here, as anyone checking my past comments will see, but Come On??

I don't care if Alonso did brake test him. Senna brake tested Mansell all around Monaco in 92 and Mansell managed to avoid running into the back of him.

I guess this is yet another "lesson" for Hamilton to learn!

Is it fashionably British to dislike someone and describe them as arrogant because they simply answer press journalists' questions with confidence and self-belief? Lewis Hamilton does not go around proclaiming without being asked. So what's all this b***ks about talking too much?

…and he has a bad race, so what? It was the kind of race many were expecting of him last season. Senna ran into the back of Mansell, Schumacher stalled on the grid in the final race of the season, thus allowing Hakkinen to win the title. Hamilton missed his first championship by one point, has a bad race in Bahrain and he's NOTHING… even after winning in Australia. What really saddens me is the level of ignorance of today's F1 so-called fans to the point where they are only happy slagging someone off.

The boy has talent and the balls to admit when he's messed up and 'let the team down'.
More than can be said for the sad 'rubbish' on these forums

I am not an LH fan but, Lewis, you have got to be kidding. You had one race go bad. You had parts fail. An undisputable driving talent. You let your team down? No, its called racing and no one wins them all.

nairn of scot the fact is he ruined a car on friday and set of fon the wrong electronis system on sun...

if he had not been in that position (tenth) then he would not have hit the back of alonso...

also...if he ahd not crashed on friday he would not have needed a new nose on the car and it wouldn't be broken like the hinges clearly were after fri.

he did let the team down because he usually gets about 6 point minimum! and he got zero...

he's now 5 behind kimi, 2 behind heidfeld and kubica ans kovie are equal points...

instead of him being 4 ahead like he was at the start of the weekend.

What a load of rubbish some of you are posting.

Yes Hamilton got caught out at the start, maybe he sun the wheels too much, maybe he reacted slowly, who knows, he made a mistake.

He made another one by misjudging the distance between himself and Alonso, more than likely brought on by a little panic induced from his poor start, knowing that if he doesnt get by in the first 3 laps then it will be difficult to do so at all.

But in the end two mistakes was all it was, anyone can and does make them, Schumacher made plenty in his second season in F1 as did both Kimi and Alonso himself.

So lets forget all talk of him being "too big for his boots" or "succombing to the disease of british mediocrity" shall we and be realistic about it.

I do hope that ITV issue an apology ove their accusations about Alonso braking though, that was a simply stupid and shallow thing for them to do.

As far I am concerned, RD&McLaren&Mercedes made a huuuuuge mistake getting rid of FA for the likes of LH. Nothing against LH, but he wasn't worth the loss.

Unfortunatly that won't happen! If this was aimed at LH then yes they would apologise (not that they would have directed this at him anyhow).
That is not a Dig at LH but at the pathetic/biased ITV coverage!

Im a big LH fan, but I was quite upset when the ITV commentators blamed Alonso for the incident, esp as they jumped to conclusions immediately without any evidence. The didnt even let it go when they found out that the stewards were not going to look at the incident. There should be an apology to FA, and lets look before we jump boys!!

I found it astonishingly amusing to watch Hamilton climb over the back of Alonso's car. A crazy irony that he couldn't have done that to any of the other 20 drivers instead!

But anyone who considered, even for a moment, that Alonso was in any way to blame for the incident needs to hurry to their local opticians for a new pair of specs.

I openly appologise for ever casting a suspiscious eye on Alonso. I should have known better. One thing Alonso ALWAYS does is go flat out in a forwards direction. Even if his 'flat out' is not always as fast as Hamilton's.

But I apologise for doubting Alonso. This was a Hamilton mistake at the start (wrong launch system) and then the broken wing compounded this error and it was just not Hamilton's day.

Here's hoping that this is the only weekend this year that Hamilton struggles in.

Well, if you are hoping bbc will be any different, it wont, british people support british people, bbc commentators support england. Its on british TV, so they support the british, if you went on to finland TV, im sure they do they same with raikonen, or on spanish tv, they support the crap out of alonso. and they didnt blame alonso, they said it would be interesting to see the replay again to see if he did. So no bloody apology, and shut the hell up, if i was in spain i would expect them to support alonso on their tv. So shut the hell up asking for apologies, you all just talk shite
