Zach Johnson won last year's Masters at Augusta

Ever wondered what it is like to go to Augusta? Well, alas, we can’t offer you tickets to the most exclusive major golf tournament on the planet, nor can we get you to Georgia for Masters Week, but we do have a special invitation for you.

Get involved in the next best thing and put your questions to the stars of the BBC’s coverage as they relax at the traditional team barbecue in Augusta on the Tuesday of Masters week.

They'll be there ready to respond to your comments in a special question and answer session for the BBC Sport website.

So, if you want to know whether Peter Alliss thinks Tiger can do the Grand Slam, or whether Ken Brown believes a Briton can walk in the steps of Lyle, Faldo or Woosnam and become a Masters champion then send in your questions.

All aspects of the Masters are up for discussion and I will put your points to our experts on your behalf.

Peter and Ken will be joined by television colleagues Sam Torrance and Gary Lineker, while Five Live’s Jay Townsend will be on hand to offer an American perspective.

I’ve also heard a whisper that Bruce Forsyth might be turning up – but that’s Strictly between you and me, you understand.

The answers will appear here sometime after the barbecue.

dear peter allis the uniqeness of augusta and how players have to think extra hard about ball flight was highlighted when raymond floyd won their using a 5 wood which at that time was unheatrd of .this ability to think a bit off beat is a crucial part of learning how to win at a course like augusta

dear gary linneker will any of us ever tire of seeing the emotional re run of jacks famous back nine surge to win the masters at the age of 46 caddied that day by his son .how much does it go to prove that self belief is an essential part of a champions mind set.

Could the Panel offer insight into these two questions? 1)Why did the Europeans have such great success at the Masters from the mid 70`s to the mid 90`s?. I believe they won 11 times. 2)Why have they had no success at the U.S.Open or PGA? I believe the last European to win either of these was Tony Jacklin in 1970.

Peter,
Aformer UK Amateur champion reckons that if he placed a ball on the green in the wrong spot, and allowing for the fact that we had supposedly hit all the greens in regulation, feels we would be hard pushed to break 100.
Is this a realistic representation of how fast and difficult the greens are?

Dear all

Hopefully, the sun will shine this week so that the so-called shorter hitters such as the defending champion can have a say again this year. At least they will avoid the problem of my opening medal on Saturday being snowed off after ten holes!

Much was made last year of Augusta's length. I was wondering what effect, if indeed any, the R&A 'outlawing' of non-conforming drivers at 31 March 2008 will have? I know that the cutting edge technology only really benefits these guys as they can generate the clubhead speed to make use of them. Or is it the case that technology has already outpaced this effort to reign in the driver. Indeed, should they be concentrating on the ball?

Scary to think that Woods' dominance may actually have been greater given his superior ball striking quality had technology not given golfers such a hand in recent years. Geoff Ogilvy played Royal Melbourne a couple of years ago with persimmons and the big difference he noted in his subsequent article that off-hits lost 40 rather than 10 yards. What a difference that would make this week on a 7,500 yard course except of course we wouldn't need the extra yardage....

Totally agree. Stick to footy Linekar, you just haven't got the delivery that the a real golf commentator has. Alliss, Hay, Faldo, Linekar. Spot the odd one out.
