about Real on Ronaldo..
Didn't their president promise Fabregas to the fans?
still haven't got him, only have Robben, even though he is playing badly at the moment.

Newcastle need committed professionals not trouble makers like El Hadji Diouf.

Some very good points overall regarding foreign players entering the U.K, but i feel the problem is a little deeper then just the influx of talent from abroad.
I remember reading a Four-Four Two Mag a little while back with Michael Laudrup being interviewed! He stated that out of all the academys in the world Holland,France, & Spain are ranked highest in Europe (falling miles behind brazil and that of Argentina).
Ever since I was little i loved the idea of nothing more then creating a team made out of me and my mates to enter tournaments and leagues and just experience a structured football competition.
I live on the South Coast in Sussex and there is literally lackluster opportunity to play in anything of the sort.
Look at the Ajax squad of 95. The bosman ruling destroyed that structure but it shouldnt be to used as the sole reason the side fell apart.
Talent scouts scour the world to find the youngest talent on the market for one of two prospects. A longer career with the club rather then paying over the odds for somebody aged 28 and almost over the hill. Or a player who they can build up to the age of 28 and be that club who sell him for a substantial fee!
English academys are dire to say the least in comparison to the likes of italy, france, holland etc...

If you are a manager in the top league in the country you are expected to bring together the best possible squad. With the poor standard of youth development in this country I know id look to brazil/spain for certain!

The Italian teams can afford to play only 5 italian players because overall it doesnt effect their national game (cough cough world cup winners)

David Villa said he'd be temped by a move to the prem, and despite Valencia initially denying he is leaving, the club then said this week that any deal would have to include cash + player... So, what do you think of Spain, Louis Saha..?

Peter Crouch to Newcastle and I am not a Newcastle fan but it would be a great move for Peter and he would get regular games,if he stays at Liverpool his England career will come to an end,and that would be bad for all England fans
